Bad News-ish by HoneyNutFemios

So my PC has been struck by a Windows 10 Update based item and now it keeps restarting itself over and over again. At first I thought it killed my video card (which is bad because I have... Certain games I should have probably saved first, including the visual novel series, 'No, Thank You!' ($39) and Princess Maker 2. Luckily I can probably use Steam to redownload most things.

However, my parents dread it is something much worse. A virus perhaps. Fear not though. I may use my Mac but I still have my phone. If you guys are wondering why I haven't posted more... Traditional work has proven to be much easier over the last couple days but my printer disconnected from my computer.

Windows 10 updates have really messed with a friend’s computer too. So I can believe it’s an update issue, too. She basically had to keep uninstalling the update. :/

    Hang in there! :D

Thanks. Here is hoping someone asks for a $40 commission if I need to reinstall 'No, Thank You!!' again. I would hate to do that though.

In the meantime, my Mac is doing fine despite being six years old as I am typing this out. It can surprisingly play newer games like 'Kitty Powers Love Life'.

I think sometimes older things have a better lifespan than newer ones. My laptop is running Windows 7 since it's "birth" and it still works wonderfully for me. I love it. :)

        You're very welcome! :D

Huh. Good point. I never thought of it that way.

Never underestimate the "oldtimers", I guess. XD

That is true. Plus, it is a Mac and Apple has been getting some rep that they are making their items more 'breakable' so that customers will be able to buy their new stuff faster.

Especially when it comes to iPhones........they rush new models out so fast it’s not even funny. @_@

My iPhone5 lasted for five years though and my iPhoneSE has lasted for two. So I think klutzy users may be to blame for the bad rep Apple is getting, too. :)

That is a good point. I was... Surprisingly not that careful though. I had a rep of ruining Windows computers that my parents originally gifted me a Mac because not only for my degree but because of Macs having a better reputation for not getting as many viruses.

I was talking with someone and they were saying something to the effect that it was too difficult for hackers to make viruses for Macs (and it's the lower end of the spectrum of users, so why bother?). So it is probably worth it to have a Mac, just for that purpose--safety. :)

That's true. I'll have a new update post shortly.
