It will sound cliche, and wholly like a manner of "fool's glory", but the very subject, and how fairly fleshed out it was, and how it made me feel, was why I'll always cherish it, despite its inconsistency.

Me and my family somehow, in a non-descript way, traveled through time back to the early 90s. xD

We didn't "meet ourselves". For some reason, that detail of common time travel tropes was omitted. I had my current laptop with me, and we settled in to the house I grew up in, enjoying ourselves. I remember visiting my elementary school, and enjoying shows like Talespin and Darkwing Duck at home. I had made the statement that "my computer was the most advanced computer in the world currently". It was a funny quip.

I genuinely enjoyed this dream, and it really helped me to sleep. It may come off as biased, but one notion is that if people remember good times in a past life, they might enjoy reminiscing about them. It's in ignorance of things that depress us that we feel alive.

Really, you can chalk the "virtue signaling" of people trying to make the past hated to them generally spreading the cancer of their own despair, regardless of how factual their claims may be. It's funny because the people in the world who feel the greatest don't regularly dwell on the things they dwell on, and some amongst these happy people aren't the types to make their happiness stem from regularly disparaging others.

It was just nice to be in a place where there were many people who were more so happier than some people in the current age can be, who were happy for good reasons.
