Black Panther - movie review by JohnStripedfur

Even though I'm a comic book fan as well as a Marvel fan, I do not know much about Black Panther. Never read a single comic about him. My only exposure on the character is from the 90's Fantastic Four animated series as well as the Avengers: EMH on Disney XD. But, I know enough of him to think he's a pretty badass superhero. So, when they announced a movie on Black Panther himself, I was excited. Especially since he made such an awesome debut in Captain America: Civil War.

The movie was very much how everybody is hyping up as. I love how they brought the kingdom of Wakanda to life on the big screen. The architecture, the culture, the clothes, the politics. I was intrigue in this whole thing. I'm surprised it was never made as a TV series. Every character is fleshed out very well. Surprising for a superhero movie considering the only character fleshed out is the main hero him/herself in those movies. The director did an awesome job bringing a fantasy country from the comics to life. And bring in a lot of African culture into it. And every actor and actress did an awesome job portraying their characters. I'm actually looking forward to a Black Panther sequel.

Even though it's still styled as a superhero movie, it's a superhero movie that's done very well and doesn't feel like a atypical superhero movies. Still have some of the clichés, but it's not that noticeable.

I highly recommend this movie to anyone that wants to see a really good movie.
