For a while now I've been contemplating whether I should post my art in more places than just Weasyl. I do like this site (and no matter what I do, this will always be my primary art dump), but this isn't the greatest site for attracting attention to one's art. Normally I wouldn't mind the quiet (in fact, I like it), but I'm thinking about opening commissions someday. It would be good to build an audience before that.

So far, I am considering Tumblr and/or DeviantART (where I would make a new account). However, Tumblr annoys me with its ceaseless porn bots (why do they even follow empty blogs in the first place? Begone!). dA seems to be filled to the brim with questionable images and I've heard the admins aren't too good at taking down stolen/traced art, which makes me reluctant to put any of my stuff there. So far, I am leaning towards Tumblr. ... Even if it is intimidating.

I'm aware of Furaffinity, but I like to draw all kinds of art, not just furry art. I also never draw NSFW, so I think I'd be out of place there. Maybe it could be an alternative for only my animal art?

My question is, does anyone know any good place to submit art? I'd be grateful for any suggestions! It'll be a while yet before I make any decision and I'd like to have a few options. Rest assured that I will always post everything to Weasyl, even if I also post in other places.
