I only have 10 chapters left to proof and revise on "The Linen Butterfly." All these months of work are coming to a head! At this rate I could potentially have it ready to submit within a week.

Truth be told, it was already "finished" at my usual "gotta meet that deadline" level of editing. But I don't have a deadline per se. I made up my mind from day one that I'd get this as refined as I possibly could.

Make no mistake: this book is meant to be a showpiece, moreso than "The Vimana Incident." With that one I wanted to see if I could write a good book very fast (among other things) and I pulled it off. I suppose it's good that I keep raising the bar for myself and I'm always astonished by what I can do when I really try.
