New Patreon policy that may harm many artists by Mircea

As has been the case during the past few years especially the course of year 2017, the fight against openness and freedom continues to spread throughout society, with folks standing to lose more rights every day due to angry people with their previous century models and mentalities. Such may now be the case on Patreon as well, where a new policy comes to discriminate against new categories of creators who have been previously left alone. At the top of the list are, of course, the typical scapegoats and collateral victims of both ancient and modern society: Sex and people who create NSFW content. The new policy can be read here:

At a first glance, the update doesn't seem that bad... at least as far as artists are concerned; It's apparently aimed against people who offer paid porn on webcam, as well as creators of actual porn films. Needless to say that in a normal society, that much wouldn't matter in our days either... of course a normal society isn't possible with humans, and I for one no longer think it ever will be.

What's mostly worrying is a typically vaguely worded passage that says "fetish content that is hard to distinguish from non-consensual sex". I don't know to what extent they might plan to interpret that, nor if it only refers to real life without including artwork. I'm worried whether it might include things like non-sexual vore, as well as other material that many furry artists create... which would spell disaster for pretty much everyone on here who uses Patreon if it did. For what is certain, Patreon is maintaining a creator oriented policy and has made it clear that whatever happens they'll work with creators to help them out... which reconfirms that the service is still ran by well intended and competent people, but at the same time that doesn't warm me if they may begin to criminalize art next.

At this stage I'm reaching a point where I have stopped caring; I've dealt with so much news over the years about people and laws and online services turning against folks like me, that even if someone walked up to me and put a bullet in my head it probably wouldn't feel like much of a big deal. Patreon is my only source of income... if they were to stop allowing me to create what I'm creating, both me and my mother would literally be dead: We would have absolutely no money to either pay for rent, any utilities, nor food and water. Want the honest truth though? While I care for my mother and want her to live on, I've been long waiting for this chance in my case! Something that would not be my fault... so that whatever happens after, I would not be judged for and accused of my own death. I'll stop this train of thought here for now; It's irrelevant and there's a whole different journal I would need to write on the subject, including a lot of things I've kept to myself for over a decade. The gist of it is, expect me do disappear forever if Patreon does somehow decide to declare war on artists... that much I felt is fair to let everyone know just in case.

The main reason I made this journal though is to gather more input and opinions on what's happening; What can you make out of the new rules? Has anyone here consulted Patreon about them? If you have a Patreon yourself, have you or are you expecting to run into trouble? I'm mostly curious whether artists who create vore and similar things are expected to be affected, as well as furries on the site in general. Sharing your thoughts definitely helps in those cases, so let us know what you think about this.
