Rhondi's Inktoberfest Live Show by ElrondDrakendil

Something very exciting! For this year's Inktober challenge (celebration?) I'm going to be doing weekly live inking shows, followed by Q&A plus an auction for the pieces created on air. You'll be able to watch me create works like the Good Sardine and the Starwing tattoo with my wee pocket pentel brush pen. (So, for those of you familiar with my brush pen sketches, like that, but better because I'll be working off a pencil sketch.)

You'll be able to tune in live on Sundays at 4:00 PM PST/7 PM EST this October (except the 22), on my Picarto channel, and (if it all works out) you can watch the shows after on YouTube. I'm also hosting a preview show this coming Sunday, September 24, starting around 3:30.

While the first three shows will be exclusively Artist's Choice (the theme is CHIMERAS), with the pieces finished live auctioned off at the end of each show, the final episode will be a lightning round for sponsors who may pre-purchase up to 20 minutes and provide prompts/suggestions/requests. Furthermore, people may also sponsor regular pieces and therefore receive the original without having to bid on it. Winning bidders/sponsors may also upgrade to a colored version along these lines for a modest fee.

AND NOW THE NITTY GRITTY DETAILS!

Episode List

September 24 (preview show): Volcano Chimera (Rhondi)*
October 1: Desert Chimera (Kirhi), Arctic Chimera (Borhosa)
October 8: Prairie Chimera (Parhim), Forest Chimera (Rheef)
October 15 (hosted by Fair Oaks!): Alpine Chimera (Arhaza), Tropical Chimera (Tamarhún)
-no show October 22-
October 29: Sponsor request show! (5 ten-minute slots @ $30 ea., sponsors must submit payment and requests by October 28th. Limit two slots/sponsor, and sponsor may request two speed drawings or one regular drawing. Empty slots will be filled by artist's choice.)

*not for sale

Bidding and Sponsoring

All originals except Rhondi will be for sale! You may purchase them in the following ways:

  1. Bid in the auction! Originals will be available for bidding at the end of each show. Minimum Bid for all pieces will be $40 USD with increases of $1 USD per bid accepted. Please see BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS at the bottom of this journal!
  2. Sponsor a piece! You may effectively pre-buy a piece by sponsoring one for $50 USD, or sponsor an entire show (two pieces!) for $95 USD. This will mean you automatically get the original(s) without having to go through the bidding process. If you have a specific thing you'd like to see me draw, consider sponsoring a slot or two in the Sponsor Request Show on October 29. See SPONSORING INSTRUCTIONS at the bottom of this journal!

Just wanna hang out and watch some art happen? Bookmark https://picarto.tv/GoldeenArts and I'll see you Sunday! You can drop questions in the chat throughout the show, and at the end I'll answer as many as I can.

BIDDING INSTRUCTIONS

*ProTip: copy+paste the form with your info filled out, to be sure your bid is valid!

To bid, simply email me at goldeenogawa[at]gmail[dot]com with INKTOBERFEST BID in the subject line and include the following form with all fields filled in:

-----BIDDING FORM BEGINS-----

PIECE NAME:
BID AMOUNT (must be Minimum Bid or at least $1 higher):

YOUR LEGAL NAME:
PUBLIC NAME (if none given I'll refer to you by you first name and last initial, if you'd like to remain anonymous, put ANON here):

YOUR PHYSICAL MAILING ADDRESS:

-----BIDDING FORM ENDS-----

Please note that, for a bid to be valid, I need to receive it when bidding is open, which I will state on the show. Bids received before I open bidding will be deleted. Similarly, your bid must be for the piece currently up for auction, otherwise it will also be deleted.

I need your legal name and shipping address as a confirmation that you are serious. Bids will be considered a promise of payment, so be ready to pay the PayPal invoice I send your way (payable via PayPal or Credit Card). Winners who fail to pay their winning bid will not be allowed to participate in future auctions until they have paid 50% of that bid, for which they will receive no recompense save that of being allowed to bid in future auctions. So, like, don't go over your budget, people.

Bids must be paid in full at the time of billing unless (and this is extremely unlikely) the winning bid is over $200 USD. Then a 50% down payment will be accepted, provided you pay the balance within two weeks. Winners who have paid a down payment may not bid in other auctions until their outstanding balance is paid in full.

This is 100% to protect me from flakes who want to come in a bid all over the place with no intention to pay. It's also to protect YOU from doing something foolish with your rent/food/insurance premium money.

Bid order will be determined by the time stamp of the email. The winning bid will be chosen at the sole discretion of the artist. I reserve the right to ignore bids from assholes, trolls, or people I believe to be disingenuous. Only bids submitting during the auction period will be counted.

Once the bidding period has been closed, via verbal announcement on air and written announcement in the chat, that piece is no longer for sale—even if it received no bids. All unsold artwork will be going to an art show in November, after which I may offer any remaining originals for sale at a fixed price.

IN BRIEF:
1. Email your bids to goldeenogawa[at]gmail[dot]com (bids submitted into the chat will be ignored)
2. Bid the minimum bid or higher (I'll update in the chat what the high bid is with the bidder's PUBLIC name)
3. Bid during the auction, for the piece that is being auctioned.
4. Be prepared to pay your bid!

Whew! Does all that sound stressful and daunting? WELL THEN. Perhaps I can interest you in…

SPONSOR INSTRUCTIONS

This is way easier. It costs a little more than what you'd pay if you won at the minimum bid, but hey, that's peace of mind!

To sponsor a single piece please email me (at goldeenogawa[at]gmail[dot]com) the following form with INKTOBERFEST SPONSOR in the subject line:

-----SPONSOR FORM BEGINS-----

PIECE NAME (e.g. "Desert Chimera/Kirhi"):
SPONSORSHIP AMOUNT: $50 (50 is the minimum, you are welcome to pledge extra)

SEND THE ORIGINAL TO:
[your mailing address, including your legal name/name you receive mail at]

OR:

PLEASE AUCTION ORIGINAL FOR CHARITY:
[You may elect not to receive the original and to allow me to re-sell it with the proceeds going to the charity of your choice! You will still receive a high resolution scan of the original.]

-----SPONSOR FORM ENDS-----

Alternatively, you may also sponsor an entire show (two pieces!). The form for that (to send to goldeenogawa[at]gmail[dot]com with INKTOBERFEST SHOW SPONSOR in the subject line) is:

------SHOW SPONSOR FORM BEGINS-----

SHOW DATE:
SPONSORSHIP AMOUNT: $95 (again, this is the minimum, you may pledge extra.)

I WANT BOTH ORIGINALS, SEND THEM TO:
[your mailing address, including your legal name/name you receive mail at]

OR

PLEASE AUCTION BOTH ORIGINALS FOR CHARITY:
[You may elect not to receive the originals and to allow me to re-sell them with the proceeds going to the charity(s) of your choice! You will still receive high resolution scans of the originals.]
If Auctioning both for charity, please tell me which charity the proceeds from each should go to (if choosing multiple charities):

OR

I WANT ONE, YOU CAN AUCTION THE OTHER:
[Tell me which one you want and where to send it, and which one you want to donate to charity, and which charity you want the proceeds to go to.]

-----SHOW SPONSOR FORM ENDS-----

Sponsor offers will be handled on a first-come, first serve basis determined by time stamp of the email. Payment will be done through PayPal invoice.

Sponsorships close at 4 PM PST the day before the relevant show. So if you want the Forest Chimera (October 8) I need to get your sponsor offer by 4 PM PST on Saturday, October 7.

In the event that a sponsored piece donated to charity gets no bids, it will be sent to its sponsor. In the event that said sponsor doesn't send me their mailing address within 30 days of the show, I reserve the right to re-sell the original at my discretion.

All well and good, yes? But suppose you don't want a chimera (though I promise they will be hella rad!) I can dig that. That's why the final show will be an all requests show! It'll work a little differently, because in order to give as many people a chance as I can, I'll be selling 10 minute slots—for a maximum of five slots in the show. You may sponsor up to two slots, and have the option to combine them into one piece. The difference being that a 10 minute slot will be a little faster, a little looser, a little less detailed—while a 20 minute double-slot will be of similar quality to the chimeras I'm doing. Or you could get two pieces. It's up to you.

While these slots will be Artist Liberty, you are encouraged to submit prompts, requests, even reference sheets of your character! But please note I'll need to receive payment and prompt(s) by Saturday, October 28th.

To do so, once again email the following form to goldeenogawa[at]gmail[dot]com with INKTOBERFEST REQUEST SHOW SPONSOR in the subject line:

-----REQUEST SHOW SLOT FORM BEGINS-----

NUMBER OF SLOTS (at $30/slot, max 2):

PROMPT/REQUEST:
REFERENCE SHEET (if applicable):

If doing two separate slots, repeat for second slot:

YOUR MAILING ADDRESS (including your mailing name):

YOUR FANDOM NAME (if applicable):

-----REQUEST SHOW SLOT FORM ENDS-----

In the event that there are slots left un-claimed, they will be filled by artist's choice with prompts accepted from the chat, originals to be auctioned for charity at the end.

NOTE ABOUT BILLING AND SHIPPING:

As stated above, all payment transactions will be handled via PayPal invoice. Once I receive your email I'll email you an invoice, which you can pay via PayPal balance or credit card (no PayPal account needed). There will be a $7 shipping/handling fee applied to all purchases, but NO SALES TAX WOO.

ANY QUESTIONS, PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE EMAIL ME! goldeenogawa[at]gmail[dot]com And even if you're broke (especially if you're broke) come on over to https://picarto.tv/GoldeenArts and enjoy the free entertainment! I'll see you on Sunday! Come early, and you might catch me doing some pre-show sketching!
