September's Nintendo Direct was a big fat whopper! by BlazRtheDragon

Welcome to the Daily Dragon Tab. I'm BlazR, your #1 official host within this post, bringing you the latest news and discussions, as well as upcoming info, events, media and other content based beyond the real world and anywhere else in between!

Boy, what a Nintendo Direct that was! And in case you're wondering about the title up above, well, I've got some awesome news to share with the rest of ya. But before we begin, I have to apologize about not sharing a bunch of details from yesterday's webisode. I was already out to get some KFC after the Direct ended in an abrupt state, but unless I plan on getting a new drawing tablet, then that's fine. I'll just let my alter ego take control of his own normal commissions in the future. So all that foody stuff aside, sit back, relax and enjoy my own take on the big favorites that caught my eye! And don't expect me to pick up others that I'm not fully interested into.

Gold and Silver galore with two surprises! - As we're fast approaching to the worldwide launch of Pokemon Gold Version and Pokemon Silver Version coming to the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Service, we were met with a pair of big surprises: one was a time travelling Celebi. And Grovyle doesn't count, because that was before he became designed as a dragonized hubby--- Whoops! Sorry. Moving on... When you receive a download code by pre-purchasing both versions, or just one, on the Nintendo 3DS eShop, you'll be eligible to bring Celebi over to Sun or Moon and ULTRA Sun or ULTRA Moon. Whatever version's your favorite, the possibilities are endless! Second and last is the cool looking Home Menu Themes. Now that's an unmentioned surprise. When you do pre-purchase the games, you'll be entitled with a pair of codes to download new themes for your 3DS, which will consist of all the Johto Pokemon that started it all; 148 to be exact. So don't forget to snag them before they're gone at the start of next year! Pokemon Gold Version and Pokemon Silver Version will be re-released for the Nintendo 3DS Virtual Console Service on the 22nd September, while ULTRA Sun and ULTRA Moon will be released on the 18th November worldwide / 23rd in Europe. Ugh... wonder how Europe feels about the legacy that's haunting us.

Yo-Kai Watch 2's Oni Evolution Event is on! - If you're one of those people who oversaw last year's truce between Arachnus and Toadal Dude, then this one's a perfect treat. During launch of Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters' Oni Evolution event, you can pick up Jibanyan S, Komasan S and Komajiro S, as well as big bosses to take on the tougher challenges. There's also a spooky theme park called Gera Gera Resort, where anything can give you loads of frights! Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters will be dropping in stores and on the Nintendo eShop the 29th September internationally.

Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy - It's not too far off from here, but I believe we've got a mystery! Coming on the 6th October, Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy, a Japanese British themed puzzle game that's spun off from the beloved Professor Layton series, will be dropping in stores and on the Nintendo 3DS eShop. And the plot is very simple: Katrielle "Kat" Layton, a daughter of the missing father, Hershel, aided by her talking beagle like companion, Sherl, travels across a British themed adventure in search of her dad in order to complete various puzzles. However, there's another problem on their hands: someone mysteriously took the Big Ben's four hands from the clock, and their only hope is to trust the Seven Dragons, a giant set of seven millionaires that can help Katrielle discover who done it and the whereabouts of the stolen hands the Big Ben had crafted. It's cops and robbers in the most wonderful world of Level-5 Studios, and Katrielle takes the stage in her own adventure! Again, Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy will be released in stores and on the Nintendo 3DS eShop the 6th October.

Minecraft: NEW Nintendo 3DS Edition - So now that we've got Minecraft for the Nintendo Switch, marking it the first ever Minecraft game on a rightful Nintendo console, there's another champion that's obviously the true husband of the Switch himself. Who is it? The 3DS! Except it's "new". Much like every port known to a bunch of fans, you can create, craft and do whatever it pleases ya. Minecraft: NEW Nintendo 3DS Edition is out on the Nintendo eShop now for those who currently have the standard, XL and the 2DS XL variants. The packaged versions will be announced at a later date.

Alliance Alive coming in 2018! - Hey. You all remembered the Legend of Legacy where it became home to Filmia, that one cuddly frog prince who deserves to be a "big" king someday? Have I got a surprise for you! ATLUS has confirmed that its pseudo sequel, the Alliance Alive, will drop in on the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL. Fortunately, a release date may be in the works for early 2018, so keep this in mind about it when ATLUS makes a formal announcement via their Twitter post.

NEW Nitnendo 2DS XL gets an orange makeover! - I was gonna make a joke about it, but Nintendo seemed to have beaten me to it. So, whatever. Anyway, the NEW Nintendo 2DS XL gets another colored variant, and it's an orange creamsicle! In the UK, Australia and Japan, they were treated with a whole new color filled with orange soda themed excitement. But now that Nintendo of America decided to get their butts off from being lazy, no thanks to the so-called legacy that I can't even dare to say, the Orange X White variant will be released on the 6th October, the same day that Layton's Mystery Journey: Katrielle and the Millionaires' Conspiracy drops on by.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2's massive features! - Now this one should be a hit for fans who prefer to make Xenoblade Chronicles their departure from being realistic to being anime-themed! And we now know the true story: Rex, the main character of the series, joins forces with Pyra, in an effort to seek out the term, Elysium, where it takes place between it and Alrest in an unspecified connection. There are two types of classes: Driver and Blade. And that's where Rex and Pyra reside respectively. They bond a powerful friendship where they begin running and embrace the wide open scenery that the guys at Monolith Soft Entertainment have prepared for them. spoiler alert theyre big fans of xmas However, nothing is far more safe between two worlds, for it contains a series of bounty hunters who will stop at nothing to terminate Pyra. Can Rex and his crew work together to protect her? Or will it be the end of Azurda's beloved grandson who weilds the legendary monarch, known as the Monado? Only time will tell when Xenoblade Chronicles 2 launches for the Nintendo Switch on the 1st December. In addition, it will come with a special variant that contains a soundtrack CD, a metal case for holding the game, and a 220 art book containing all the artwork and concept designs that's definitely a blast. Be sure to have your pre orders ready!

Splatoon 2's brand new update! - With the successful release of Splatoon 2, we now have a few set of updates for you to enjoy playing around with. Two new stages will include Kelp Dome and Snapper Canal, while the only weapon you'll find is the Tenta Bella. This weapon will help prevent you from incoming attacks and buy you more time before you can shoot against opponents. The Splatoon 2 update will happen tomorrow evening, so pick up your goods and get splattin'!

Snipperclips PLUS: Cut it out... together! - We've seen the funnies between Snip and Clip... now it gets even better! Snipperclips PLUS is an updated version of the original; this time, offering new challenges, a comic book style art and various shapes to mess around with. This updated version of the hilarious cooperative puzzle game will make its way over to the Nintendo Switch's eShop on the 10th November, so feel free to laugh it all up by losing weight for once.

Rocket League makes the Switch! - From Psyonix, the guys who brought you all things Rocket League, is about to make the Switch! I normally never played Rocket League before, but from what I heard, it will contain all the Super Mario packs and Metroid packs, so I'm not gonna entirely go fanboyish all over these two. I mean, come on! I wasn't a big fan of Mario nor Samus after all. Those Koopas and fan demands are a waste. I'd pretty much prefer Kremlings over the legacy. Anyway, Rocket League for the Nintendo Switch will be coming this holiday, so better practice more of your racing skills again. It's a "drift" turn for experts!

The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim gets a release date! - After a few announcments that were made in October of last year, and January and June of today, one of Bethesda Studios' beloved games of 2011, The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, will be coming to the Nintendo Switch on the 17th November. That's right! You can be anyone, do anything and bring out the amiibo fun with the Legend of Zelda themed characters that are made for your enjoyment. Whether you'd rather be bored on playing it in TV mode, be okay with Tabletop Mode and feel estatic about going Handheld Mode, Dovahkin will always be your one tough bodyguard of a wingman whenever someone does a big no-no to you. Skyrim, again, will be released on the Nintendo Switch the 17th November. I've got a good feeling that the holidays are approaching faster than ever!

DOOM fires up a new generation! - And if you guys thought having Skyrim on the go is a good idea, well... I guess it goes to show that Bethesda does a pretty good job on praising the Switch. DOOM, if you don't know what it is, is a single player hack and slash whack 'em up shooter that puts the role of Doomguy, where he must escape the flames of hell in order to gain blood as health and attack his way to the surface world, known as a safe source. The 2016 version is a simple reboot of the 1993 hardcore classic that spawned a series of commercial successes, meaning that single player shooters are the ones to look out for. Can you survive? DOOM will make its way to the Nintendo Switch this holiday season. Look out for Bethesda's Twitter post for an announcement!

The Champions' amiibo release - With Breath of the Wild considered a commercial success, we now have confirmation that the Four Champions, known as Mipha, Revali, Daruk and Urbosa, will be released on the 10th November. These amiibo will each include a personal set of clothes and other weapons, so details of these amiibo features may be introduced on the game's site.

Lola Pop joins ARMS! - With the update of ARMS out now, Lola Pop enters the ring to show off her moves. Announced at Gamescom, this clown themed fighter may not only have the usual fighting potential, but in the eyes of a non-poppable fan, she self inflates. Wanna know something more interesting? Replace humans with a furry or a reptilian!

Super Mario Odyssey's big and powerful news! - We're now down to one last stop, and it's a big one. Koizumi-san returns once more to reprise his clothing attire to share even more details for what's to come on this brilliant return to Super Mario 64 and Super Mario Sunshine's true colors of sandbox games. The main plot is very simple: Following the kidnapping of Princess Peach within the Mushroom Kingdom, Mario is super unhappy about the proposed marriage that Bowser had put up with. However, he's not alone. With the help of a new character named Cappy, a hybrid of an Eerie and a hat, the two must work together to find Peach, rescue Cappy's sister, Tiara, and put an end to the marriage. And then comes a series of new features! So far, we now know all of the kingdoms with respective cities. So the next two newer ones represent Shivaria from the Snow Kingdom and Bubblaine from the Seaside Kingdom. This next category involves Power Moons. The Odyssey is best known for being a plane, an RV and a VIP themed hotel that can be taken to the skies anywhere. However, there's just one problem: it's short on fuel, so the only way to make it more powerful is by finding a series of Power Moons. By collecting them, you'll need all the courage and strategy to seek out the missing moons before moving on to newer places. Need help? Let Talkatoo and the Hint Toad assist you with everything you need for advice! You'll also meet your Uncle amiibo to let you scan a Mario themed figure via the right Joy-Con. Moving right along, mini games have made a dashing return, with a simple recognition done by the N64 and the GameCube. When finishing a mini game, you'll win a Power Moon. Go for it and don't ever give up! Next comes the best part: photo taking! Simply snap a photo in any accurate place, then move around, zoom in or out and place various color frames. If you have a smart device, then turning it around is acceptable! Though, you may want to acquire a 400 GB micro SD card to store it. In conclusion to this game, Jump Up, Super Star! is among the first in the Mario series to feature a whole new song. Now that's something you'd tell the LANSG to shaddup about. Launching on the 27th October, the day where we get both the game and a trio of wedding themed Mario amiibo figures, a bundle is set to be released with a Mario themed Joy-Con set and a carrying case.

What did you guys all think about the Direct? Are you satisfied with everything that there is to show? Which game will you look forward in the world of Nintendo? Are you actually craving for more 3DS and Switch fun? Feel free to leave a comment down BELOW, and I'll check 'em out!

Lastly, I'd like to leave you off tomorrow with a Metroid themed artwork involving a very hungry Ridley, or Fatley, as he attempts to devour a stupid robot all the way from Canada. And I think you guys may know what the dilemma may be.

That's all I have for today. Until next time, see ya later! :)

September's Nintendo Direct was a big fat whopper!
