In a few short words: don't buy this game.

In a lot more words: this game is buggy as hell. I've had fewer bugs in the space of an hour playing Fallout: New Vegas than I've had in an hour playing Sniper Elite 3. Fallout: New Vegas is notoriously buggy, one of the worst (if not THE absolute worst) Fallout games when it comes to bugs... and Sniper Elite 3 has Fallout: New Vegas beat by a hundred miles. In one hour's playtime my game crashed THREE TIMES. As in, stopped working altogether. And there was no rhyme nor reason (nor was there any warning beforehand) behind the crashes, they simply happened. Go to the main menu, crash. Turn your head and look a particular direction, crash. Enemy soldier walks over a mine you just laid as a trap, it doesn't go off. How the fuck is this not a Bethesda title? It's certainly got enough gamebreaking bugs to qualify as one.

Thankfully, Steam has a refund system, and I've asked for a refund. I can only hope that they will give me my money back without lying for the umpteenth time about how I've used the refund system too much (the last time I used it was at least two years ago, so maybe they'll be kind enough to actually acknowledge that it's been awhile).

So I am one very unhappy dragoness. I happen to like the Sniper Elite franchise, but I didn't want to purchase the newest one because of how it's sixty bucks just for the main campaign and almost ninety for the full package with the season pass. I've got a pirated version, I guess I'll just have to settle for that until I can afford a legit copy of it. But now that I've plunked the cash down for 3 I'm just shaking my head in disappointment. Game could be outstanding if it weren't for the bugs. And after three years of being available they still haven't fixed them. I'm sorry, but I feel ripped off... probably because that's exactly what Sniper Elite 3 is: a ripoff. If you're going to spend the money, buy something else.
