THe Current State of Commissions by INKtiger

I figured it was about time to explain my commission types and process as it stands now, since I've gotten questions about it. It's true I've begun to focus more on the projects that I've been wanting to do for years, including comics. This takes a lot of time and learning to accomplish, so I've begun to adjust my working methods to accommodate for that. I'm not stopping commissions, just making changes to how i approach them.
Here are a few ways to get a commission from me:

WING IT'S - Keep you eyes open for a post stating I am opening for Wing-its and then fill out the form for one. These are done quickly without approval WIP's and in between larger projects I am working on. They are also priced lower than regular commissions and I do not take deadlines for these, though if you need them by a certain time and you give me a month's notice I will do my best to have yours done within that time frame.

YCH AUCTION - These will be posted up with their backgrounds already painted in to give you an idea of the atmosphere of the picture and then available for bidding, usually for 3-4 days. I will then accept payment and refs from the winner and complete the image along with any alternate versions of the piece offered in the auction. These are generally done within a week of payment being processed.

REGULAR COMMISSION - I am taking less of these as a rule, they take a looooong time to complete and have to go through approval stages and multiple changes in some cases. If you'd like one of these please e-mail me INKtigerArt@yahoo.com with your commission request. If I have time I can commit to a big commission and your idea interests me, I'll do my best to work with you.

CONVENTION TABLE COMMISSION - Going to a con that I'm dealing at? Feel free to stop by my table and fill out a commission form. Con commissions are done Traditionally, Wing-it style and completed at the con for you to take home with you. Please have a reference you can leave with me, I cannot be responsible for details I'm not informed about.

CONVENTION TAKE-HOME COMMISSION - Want something for after the con or a digital piece? Come fill out a form at my Dealer table! I accept digital and traditional commissions done wing-it style for take-homes from a convention and I'm more than happy to mail your original or a print of your piece to you for a shipping fee.

BADGE COMMISSION - I'm always open for badge commissions. These are quick portrait type commissions of your character and can be mailed out to you in a protective sleeve. Digital badges will be double printed so the image can be seen front and back. Please e-mail me INKtigerArt@yahoo.com with your reference and a theme if you have one, for a badge commission.

SPECIAL COMMISSION - Sometimes I may wish to do something more experimental with a new medium, a new method, anything really and I may offer commissions to help fund my experiments. If these are traditional you will be able to have the originals mailed you to for a shipping fee, THese types of commissions will be posted about to let you know they are available and what they are.

I hope this helps to clear things up a bit and if you have any questions, please feel free to ask!

Cheers,
~Ty
