Heh, Can't Help But Smile At This by ACDragon

Was playing TF2 on Dustbowl's final stage. I was on Blu, playing offense. My team consisted of a pyro, a medic, heavy , one engineer, I think a scout, and me as a Cloak and Dagger spy. The other team had two engineers, a Brass Beast Heavy, a Natascha heavy, and a medic who pocketed him, and I'm not sure what else they had though I do know they had more team members than my team had. They had two full level 3 sentry nests up, one in the shed immediately in front of Blu's main spawn doors, and the other one was in the shelf to the far right past the first point, the one that is only accessible from one of Red's spawn areas. Our pyro was idle, and we ended up having to kick him. The rest didn't do very well, and neither did I at first, as the Natascha heavy and medic pocketing him decided they were going to spawncamp the whole round.

When I saw what they were trying to do I went ahead and cloaked, then made my way around to the sentry in the front. What amazed me was just how few defenses they had. Aside from one sniper on the point who I took care of with relative ease with my Spycicle, and one demoman who just kept flailing his bottle around yelling "SPY!" all the time, there wasn't really anything back there to defend the area. I got the sniper, then the sentry, and after that Red's second sentry nest just sort of disappeared, the player probably either left the round or changed class.

Somehow our medic had already gotten up to the point by this time, so I joined him and we capped it, then I cloaked and moved back toward Point B. I did what I could to stay hidden, though Natascha Heavy and his Pet Pocket Medic shot me a couple times, nothing fatal, thankfully. I evaded them and stood cloaked and still as a stone long enough to make them think I'd retreated back to Blu's own ground and then they moved forward to, I assume, try to go back to spawncamping.

When they left, I noticed that I was all alone at Point B, the final point of the map, so I capped, and we won.

But then a couple of players got nasty, calling me a mediocre spy for backcapping. I kind of expected it from Natascha Dipshit and his sidekick Doktor von Douchebag, but then I got blindsided when some idiots on my own team decided to agree with him. I was probably upset for all of, oh, ten or fifteen seconds, but now all I can do is just laugh at them.

They couldn't even fucking leave the spawn without a heavy or a level 3 sentry gun mowing them down. The only reason they even got the chance to set foot on Point A was because I did all the work they couldn't do. The Red team was overconfident, and my own team was so puffed up and angry because one lonely little spy carried them all.

And they call me mediocre. I simply have to laugh because if I'm mediocre, then that makes everyone else on that server this morning just plain bad.. especially the ones on Red who were doling out the insults, because they were literally the only defense that second point had and they abandoned it, arrogantly assuming that that one spy which they hadn't killed couldn't possibly still be there to shame them all.

So unlike my usual TF2 rants I'm actually grinning ear to ear as I type this. You know you're a damn good player when the so-called "Experts" call you mediocre after you just carried your team to victory. Good job showing me and everybody else on that server just how bad you all are, you dumbasses.
