War for the Planet of the Apes - movie review by JohnStripedfur

I'm a pretty big fan of the Planet of the Apes movies. I've seen the entire original franchise. My favorites are the first one and Conquest. I even like the Tim Burton remake. I know it's bad compared to the original, but the apes costumes and make-up were excellent to look at. A much better improvement over the original. And the main title score is one hell of a musical song. So, when I heard there's a reboot of the franchise, I was both concerned and excited. Concerned that it maybe a prequel and there's no need for it and excited because more Apes movies. Rise was a pretty good movie and Dawn became one of my most favorite movies of all time. So, when War came up I was excited to see where this reboot franchise will lead.

And I wasn't disappointed. It's such a great movie. As great as Dawn. Even though I think the first one should've been Dawn and the second one should've been Rise, but oh well. War pretty much started where Dawn left off. Two years later after the attack on San Francisco done by bad ape Koba, the last remaining US Army went on an attack. It soon became a journey for revenge where you follow Ceasar on his pathway for what will come to be the huge crossroads for the planet itself.

I definitely recommend this movie to anyone who enjoys a good movie. I think this'll be my #1 favorite of the summer thus far. Go see it if you have the chance. :)
