A Silent Hillish dream (that was creepy on MY part) by GuzzleMuzzle

This dream began somewhere on the note that me and my dad were somewhere far off, and were set to drive home. It was near midnight, and we were to be somewhere very early. He and I were the only ones in the vehicle.

During the drive, he maneuvered the car in many ways that could easily get us killed, yet for some reason, I was only modestly phased by it. Driving over soon-to-rise wallings, lingering on turn paint on the freeway, driving extremely close to walls at a high speed. All this happened, yet I seemed to only look around as if I had been only slightly called to attention.

Upon getting home, somehow, I seemed enthused to tell my mom about how he was driving. She didn't seem to mind it much. Shortly after, we were to be somewhere early in the morning upon its opening; a school, or college, to handle financial issues. Driving there was pleasant, though we drove in the dead of night. My dad drove much more calmly, and he and I hardly talked during the trip.

We arrived at what most certainly must've been a school. After walking through what must've been a lunch room or at least a point of entry into the building where students should ready themselves, we came to the principal's office. Its setup seemed more so like a help desk in a hospital. There were a few ladies sitting there, at computers, who seemed very friendly. My dad sat down to talk to them, and I handed him some money that was to be used in the conclusive moments of his conversation with the women. I then walked back to the lunch/readying room from before, and sat down on a bench. Only a few minutes passed before several students began to walk in, situated closely together.

This is my favorite part.

I was wearing a large brown coat with black pants (I'm somewhat tall irl), and as the students began to pass, I began to, loudly enough, sing, and audibly make the music to, the song "You're Not Here", from the beginning of Silent Hill 3 ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Wz3ufaZCoVw ). The students passing by looked upon me with agreeing looks, as if they recognized the song, and loved it in fond remembrance. It was one of those moments where people who strongly resonate with something cool that only a few people have experienced nod in agreement to when someone makes that thing apparent in a place where they're most unlikely to hear of it, and in this case, Silent Hill 3 of all things. I sang it all the way up to the mostly instrumental part near its conclusion, and even trailed my rock-guitar-emulating voice off just as it does on the title screen, never finishing the song's instrumental section. People seemed extra happy when I had done that, I guess, since that moment heralds when you're brought to the title screen after a fade to black. There were far less people who seemed confused or disturbed than people who seemed happy to hear me sing.

Shortly thereafter, I stood up, and went back to meet my dad, who at this point was nearly done handling the financial business we came to tend to. Afterwards, I was to attend a grand meeting of sorts, to sit in an audience. I asked for $5 dollars back from him, but he gave me $11 instead. I then went looking for a vending machine to buy some cheetoes from. I had walked into an auditorium, along the very back row seats. I passed by someone I used to go to elementary school with, whom I never liked. He responded to my presence with disgust, and I passively told him that I wasn't even thinking about him. I looked over the seats into a dimly lit space, and soon began looking for a seat, never having purchased my snack. Something was beginning. However, this is where the dream ended.

Strangely enough, upon writing this, I was thinking of the PS1 horror action game "Nightmare Creatures" (part 1). I fondly remember its creepy atmosphere and voice acting, and awkward gameplay.

Idk why I had a dream of this nature, but the Silent Hill 3 opening music singing part threw me off. It was barely even one of those things that, when you dream, you consciously try to do, or "influence" to happen as you dream. It was fun though, to refer to something disturbing in entertainment and see that several people recognized it, even if only in a dream.

I'd be reluctant or outright opposed to enacting any of this in a real life school. XD <3
