If I have to be honest, I was never a huge fan of Wonder Woman. Not because she's a female superhero. Not at all. Just don't know much about her. I guess growing up, I was always more interested in Superman and Batman than Wonder Woman. I do feel bad about that because my peak about her didn't catch up until I saw her in the Justice League cartoon and that's when my interest in her grew. And when I heard there will be a Wonder Woman movie, I was excited. Because it's a superhero I wanted to learn more and hopefully become a fan of hers. Just like I was with Superman and Batman.

And after seeing this movie. You can bet that Wonder Woman just gained a bone fide fan. I really enjoyed this movie. It has everything you need. It has action scenes that were needed, tragic scenes when needed, when it needed to be funny, and when it needed to be heroic. I think Warner Brothers learned from their mistakes and put it in this movie. Granted, this movie is a typical superhero origin story, but it's an origin story done right. Definitely worth seeing again.

Finally, we have a GOOD female superhero movie. There had been other solo female superhero movies before and all been terrible. Electra, which was a spin-off from Daredevil, was a very lazily written movie that didn't capture who she is. Catwoman was a badly directed film with bad acting choices. So, it is refreshing to see a female superhero movie done right. :)

I recommend seeing this movie. If you're a DC fan, superhero fan, or a fan of movies in general. Go see this one. And see it in IMAX if you can afford it. It's worth it. :)
