Keyboard Tray Messed Up by ACDragon

About a year ago, a pest control guy spraying for bugs in my apartment took it upon himself to move my foldable wooden desk while stuff was still on it, even after I told him to wait until I moved it because I knew it better than he did. On this desk, the sides fold inward after you remove the keyboard tray, and then the top folds down, similar in principle to a TV tray. When he moved it, he picked it up by the tabletop itself and pulled it away from the wall, causing the sides to spread out, which in turn damaged the metal equipment that holds the keyboard tray on and allows it to be moved in and out of the desk.

I've known for a long time now that it was going to eventually fail, but things rarely fail when you're ready for them to fail, and this is no exception. Happened earlier today. The tray itself is fine, it's just a solid piece of wood, there's nothing wrong with it at all except that it is dirty. The mounting equipment, on the other hand, is an entirely different story. One of the pieces mounted on the board itself cracked and bent downward, making it impossible to keep it secured and it repeatedly acted like it was going to fall down onto my lap. So I've removed it, and now it's leaning against the wall by the A/C unit waiting for me to purchase the necessary equipment to fix it.

It shouldn't be hard to find the necessary equipment, and it'll probably be feasible to get superior equipment that is less likely to break under what I consider to be normal usage. But that's going to take a few days, possibly a few weeks, given the fact that donations and commissions were just barely enough to cover everything this month. Meanwhile, my kb and mouse are much higher than they normally are, and with my simple church chair that easily handles my weight but can't be adjusted in any way, I'm stuck at the same height as I was before the failure. It's uncomfortable, to put it mildly, and as such I imagine that my art will suffer until I can replace the mounting equipment on the keyboard tray and get everything set up properly once again. I'll still do art, and I'll still be open for commissions, but just know that it'll take me more time to do one drawing than it usually does. Thanks.
