I misjudged the amount of money I'd need to save up this month for next month's rent (long story: essentially, I live exclusively on Social Security and my income has not increased at all in the last three years but my rent has skyrocketed), and I need at least $200.00 for the rest of the month. I cannot pay this money back, meaning I need it to either come from donations or from commissions.

As far as commission cost is concerned, I give commissioners a quote based upon how complex I believe the work will be, and as I expect payment up-front before beginning work on any pictures, the quoted amount is the only amount you will pay. If I go over the amount of time and effort I had originally based the quote on, I won't charge any extra money, so there won't be any nasty money-related surprises for you later on.

I wish I didn't have to detail my financial situation like this, and I also wish I didn't have to beg. But I don't have the luxury of 10,000+ watchers with fat wallets like the big names do, so I have to do what I can with what I do have.
