(EXTREMELY LATE) Nintendo Direct Recap time! by BlazRtheDragon

Welcome back to the long awaited return of the Daily Dragon Tab. I'm Dera Mochimazzi, back from my lazy obsession about junk and greasy foods. Though, I sincerely have to apologize for my mistaken absence. The staff has been quite busy with so many things, so let's get on with the good stuff.

Just a couple of weeks ago, we didn't had the free time to cover everything from the Nintendo Direct. So let's pretend that today's the 12th April. Also, we'd like to thank our friends at Mii News for saving the info, following the end of the episode. With that put out of the way, let's start with an upcoming title that had been in development since last year's true E3.

Ever Oasis

The makers who brought you all the Zelda content like no other has announced that Ever Oasis is set to be released on the 23rd June. In it, players take on the role of an anthropomorphic seedling named Tehtu, who had their brother not only kidnapped, but being spirited away by the evil forces of Chaos. With the help of your partner, Esna the Water Spirit, players can build a giant village and join forces with allies as they overcome the dangerous monsters and obstacles in order to rescue their brother. May your journey ever lead on in the hottest deserted oasis when Ever Oasis launches, prior to E3 2017. We'll get to the latter later on.

Monster Hunter Stories

The true spin off of the Monster Hunter series, Monster Hunter Stories, is about to come alive as it is headed to the west this fall! Unlike its main series, the player is tasked to take on the role of an unspecified rider, as you snatch eggs from monsters, raise them and ride them like the wind. You can even attack other monsters and gain power ups like never before. There's also amiibo content, but we won't be getting into detail in just a couple months away from now. We'll save it for later once Capcom reassures that.

Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters

And if you thought Level 5 Studios was done with the Yo-Kai craze, think again. Luckily for North Americans, it's round two, as Yo-Kai Watch 2: Psychic Specters is set to be released this fall. Much like its predecessors, Bony Spirits and Fleshy Souls, it features a new Yo-Kai named Unkeen, as well as the story of how Hovernyan first became Darknyan, hence the namesake of his own backstory.

Miitopia

Do you love comedy? Really good JRPG comedy that'll make you laugh so hard, you might need to take a breather? Then Miitopia is about to be released in summer! (28th July; the last journal showcases the NEW Nintendo 2DS XL) In it, you can create your own Mii, and a story, as you lead up to four characters saving the world, caring for each other with life simulation elements, level up and watch as you hear Miis talking gibberish. I thought for sure it was intended to have voice acting, but this is ridiculous! Other than that, it's a very promising 3DS title you won't soon regret.

Bye-Bye, BoxBoy!

We've come to the very last of Qbby's grand adventure, as Bye-Bye, BoxBoy! is already out now on the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL exclusive eShop! Despite the lack of the Qbby amiibo that may not be shown worldwide, Qbby now encounters Qbabies, which gains even more momentum like never before. Plus, Qbby can also use supernatural powers against all odds, like riding on a rocket, placing a bomb, teleporting and even follow the remote block that the player can take control on. Costing at a total amount of just five dollars, it's the end of our adventure as we know it, and this game's all about "going green".

The Legend of Zelda amiibo incoming!

With the commercial success of Breath of the Wild on our hands, three more Legend of Zelda amiibo have been surfaced. Ranging from Young Link to a couple of Adult Links, which came from Majora's Mask, Twilight Princess and Skyward Sword, they will all be ready for launch on the 23rd June. And speaking of June...

More ARMS, more fun!

ARMS just introduced an emcee that goes by the name of Biff. He commentates on a variety of new features like a bonus game where you level up your favorite fighter and attack upcoming debris; introducing Minmin as a new fighter and even 2 vs 2 team battles that make the game more intense than you might think. ARMS is set for a worldwide launch on the 16th June.

Neon Yellow Joy-Con and Battery Packs

Alongside the release of ARMS, Neon Yellow has joined the Nintendo Switch craze. It will also be released separately with a battery pack, which will let players attach the pack on each Joy-Con and play games longer. Both products will be launched on that said date.

ULTRA Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers

Are you up to the test to show your arcade skills your "final" moment? Then look no further than ULTRA Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers. Set for a 26th launch in May, this updated version of the critically acclaimed 1991 competitive arcade fighting game will come with a variety of new features. Way of the Hado is a mini game where players use two Joy-Con to simulate themselves in a first person perspective point of view as they unleash signature powers like the Hadouken, Shoryuken and Tatsumaki Senpyukyaku and tackles against not only against the Shadaloo Soldiers, but M. Bison himself. You can also change the original pixel animations to HD, making it far more traditional. Lastly, Buddy Battle pits two players working together and taking on their enemies in a much more enjoyable experience. You must defeat my big feathered belly to stand a chance against me! Oh, pardon my French; just lost track there for fun. It may be compatible with the HORI themed fighting stick for the Switch, so look out for it.

NEO GEO

Based on the 1990 arcade relied console, all NEO GEO titles will be released every Thursday, much like the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL eShop updates. Starting off, we have Samurai Shodown taking place. If you have a whole amount of eShop credits, then this may be your chance to relive the 90's.

Sonic Forces

The entire world is facing danger, and 99.9% of every location has been engulfed in flames, thanks to the maniacal Dr. Eggman. Luckily, the modern and classic Sonics are there to save the world and fight back against him. There's even a new character, so don't expect you-know-who to make an appearance. I don't want to have to offend BlazR for this. Sonic Forces will be released this Holiday.

Sonic Mania

Sonic Mania is a 2D platforming game that pays tribute to all six classic adventures (1, 2, 3, & Knuckles, CD and Chaotix) where you can instantly either play as Sonic, Tails or Knuckles. It's a blast from the past and into home like you've always dreamed of. From Green Hill to Palmtree Panic, go tropical!

Puyo Puyo Tetris

Amitie's home has been infected by so many blocks, but being aided by the Puyo, including Carbuncle, it's up to the player to solve the mystery in Puyo Puyo Tetris. This amazing crossover, published by SEGA, developed by Sonic Team and co-produced by the Tetris Company, up to two or four players can switch on the fly as they choose either to Puyo or Tetris. Adventure and Swap mode are available for praised use, so you won't be disappointed as to what's going on. Puyo Puyo Tetris is out now, only for not on the PlayStation 4, but on the Nintendo Switch! I really hope they bring in the 3DS version here.

Payday 2

Mii News hadn't had the time to focus on Payday 2, so I'll take it from here. Payday 2 is an upcoming cooperative first person shooter that involves a ragtag team of burglars, dressed up in clown uniforms, as they regroup together to make "heists", steal money, avoid security and attack the cops that stand in their way. This will be the first Valve game to be launched on a Nintendo console. Don't believe me? Look it up on Wikipedia. I dare you. Payday 2 will be launched this fall on the Nintendo Switch, with 505 Games set to publish and Overkill Software set to develop.

Disgaea 5 Complete

Another comedy JRPG is on the rise, as Disgaea 5 Complete will be launched on the 23rd and 26th May in North America and PAL regions. The plot is simple: The evil demon emperor Void Dark devastates numerous Netherworlds after coming to power, with the help of an army of over one million soldiers known as The Lost. Following this, the Overlords of the Netherworlds under Void Dark's rule attempt to rise up and take revenge. So, based on the information taken from Mii News, Disgaea 5 Complete plays just like the original, but with added new features that were never seen recently. They contain the display of resistance and affiliation statistics when units on the battlefield are highlighted, and a revenge system that is triggered when party members are fallen. The game also introduced a new type of special attack known as Maougis. Certain characters are able to pair up in specific duos to unleash special moves known as fusion skills. New playable character classes include dark knights with melee weapons, maids with guns, and fairies with support magic, while the soldier, magician, priest, priestess and archer classes from earlier titles returned. There. That should put it.

Project Mekuru

I think you may want to gather your friends and family for something wonderful, because Project Mekuru is about to bring color to your world! Up to four players can play as Miis and spread out color. How? Just by butt bouncing! One time I did it, I tried to fly higher, but because of my weight, my feather butt kept on bouncing and I accidentally squished a wedding cake. Regardless, it was delicious. But what am I getting here? Oh, yes! The more color you spread out, the more points you win. It's that simple! Project Mekuru is set to be released this summer, only for the Nintendo Switch.

Namco Museum

We've come a long way ahead of the end of this episode, but I've saved the best for last. This one's for you, BlazR. Namco Museum is a revived classic of compilations that feature Pac Man, Galaga, Dig-Dug, Tower of Druaga, Sky Kid, Rolling Thunder, Galaga '88, Splatterhouse, Rolling Thunder 2 and Tank Force. It's a Namco fan's dream come true when Namco Museum returns to its compiled roots this summer.

So what did you think of the "new" Nintendo Direct episode? Were you surprised by its new theme song and decal textures? Which game are you mostly looking forward to get? Leave a comment down below and tell us what you think.

That's the first episode for you. Coming up in just a moment, we talk about Blockbuster's active life in the heart of Alaska. Don't miss it!

Thanks for watching. I'm Dera Mochimazzi, the first sumo wrestling bird dedicated to become a news anchored takeover, signing out.
