Hello to all Players, Commissionsers, GMs, and fans of the FHL and it is our pleasure to say welcome to the Off-Season of Season 5. In this journal we will discuss whats happening with it, and the events coming up for the league! With that, lets get into the Off-Season.

COMPLETION OF EXP CHANGES

First, we apologize for the massive delays but at this time, we can safely say the XP changes are completed, and the league is ready to move ahead with EXP expenditure. As noted in the earlier journals, the changes were done in hopes of making EXP work better and give experience out to a broader group. As the work has now been completed, the XP is now as follows:

As noted before, Game Night Stars and the Achievement Sheets have been removed from EXP rewards, due to issues with both areas. In it's place are EXP rewards for smaller personal events, and 1 Goal Allowed Rewards for Defencemen and Goalies. Also at the end of the season, players earn additional EXP based on their stats for the season. It is our hope with these changes that EXP will work out better for the league

EXP SPENDING

With completion of course, that means spending, which we have compled a list in Alphabetical order of Skaters and Goalies which is available here:

If a player wishes to spend their experience, they need to simply note the league(or comment here) how they wish to spend it, based on the spending numbers in the page above. Total GP available is listed on the second sheet should the player wish not to purchase perks. If they do, please contact the FHL if you need any help with spending.

A player may also ask the league to save all or some of their EXP for next season, thought it is not advised.

Please note that all GMs will be getting messages with information on expenditures for their team. Should a player fail to submit a expenditure or hold order, the EXP will be spent by the GM's guidelines. Should the GM not submit guidelines by the close of the spending period, the player's EXP will be spent by a set of guidelines the Commissioners follows.

All Spending must be in by [b]March 19th, 2017 at 11:59 EDT[/b] or be affected by the information listed above.

RETENTION VOTE

As was discussed late last season, due to the changes in team size, and some feelings of issues with the current system, the commission decided a new vote to adjust retention was needed. With the changes to the EXP completed, that vote will open on [b]Feburary 27th, 2017/b] . It will be a post vote with multiple options which each person who wishes to vote must score the options from 1-4, with the highest vote score being the path we take. More information will be available at the time of the vote opening.

FHL DRAFT DATE SET

With the Off-Season running and in order, the FHL has set the draft day for Season 6! The Draft for S6 will begin with the first round on[b] Sunday April 2nd, 2017[/b], and likely spanning over the next week!
