Nintendo Switch Presentation: The Full Recap! by BlazRtheDragon

After we had a huge crossover event and a crazy presentation that went completely "wild", which I'll get to that at the end of today's episode, I've made it back home to Weasyl, and took home the notes I learned from my alter ego's live Twitter feed. So, what say we have a good morning and check out to see what went right over at the Nintendo Switch Presentation a couple of days ago?

The Nintendo Switch System Retrospective - Throughout the Nintendo Switch, you'll find all sorts of features, like its game card slot; its kickstand; its amazing tablet like console screen; its dock and a whole lot more. Plus, you'll also be able to detach the controllers and place them on the Grip, known as the Joy-Con... then play it on the TV, at a boring state. However, the Nintendo Switch doesn't even let you do that, as it comes in a couple more varieties: Tabletop Mode lets you play the console by taking out the kickstand, place it anywhere and use the wireless Joy-Con controllers by doing whatever your arms can do while playing a Nintendo Game. And of course, handheld mode, my personal favorite, lets you take your console out on the go. Anytime, anywhere. Just without the need of staying home and do whatever it pleases ya! As usual, not only can you fiddle around with both the Nintendo Switch and its main Joy-Con controllers, but it also has a pair of new features, such as amiibo functionality with the Joy-Con (R) controller as a basis of the source and two left and right S triggers for each Joy-Con, making it easy for playing two player mode. I wonder if Sonic the Hedgehog 2 may be a source of the Virtual Console? Or even Gunstar Heroes? I dunno; you tell me in the comments. Then we get to the part where both IR Motion Sensor is shown, where you can let the Joy-Con scan any kind of object or living being. And then comes the HD Rumble, which lets you detect a sound coming from the Joy-Con (L). Oh, and one last thing: Did you know that there was a magic trick involving new colors that have Neon Blue and Neon Red? Well... by the looks of it, they seemed great! And if they don't seem to have that console, then I wouldn't be too surprised if I were to buy a blue version separately and take out the grey Joy-Con controllers. I can't seem to see any-- oh, wait. I forgot; I'm a dragon that breathes fire. Heh! Oh, yeah! I almost forgot to mention that it will be the first ever console to be released worldwide on the 3rd March. Expect the Wii U console to be dead and gone when Breath of the Wild comes out, before I'll explain more at the end. In Japan, it will be priced for about 29,980. And in North America, it's about $299. Welp... I guess the only way to play some Zelda is by saving up a lot of money. And those of you across every country, I suggest going to a game store and ask an employee of how much it'll cost. Now then, let's talk about the games that were unveiled during the presentation.

1-2-Switch! - 1-2-Switch is a new party game where two players can do anything by using one Joy-Con for each hand, without the need of looking at the screen. It's a real life interactive world like no other. There's nothing too special on it, so I'll just go on and say that it will be launched on the 3rd March, the same date that the Switch releases.

ARMS - Are you a big fan of boxing, sports and fighting? Well, look no further than this amazing game that will change your life forever when ARMS makes its debut on the Nintendo Switch! In it, it's a competitive fighting game where players use both Joy-Con to punch and shoot through victory by extending its mechanical arms. Right at the start, you'll be getting Spring Man and Ribbon Girl, so don't expect a spin-off game of LEGS to draw too many fetishes. Because... as Cleveland would predict, "Aw, that's nasty." ARMS will be released in Spring of 2017.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 / Xenoblade 2 - The upcoming spiritual successor to the original Wii game of the same name is officially making the "Switch", as Xenoblade Chronicles is about to make way around 2017. The story is basically simple: a brand new character heads on out with a new weapon in an adventure of a lifetime, while exploring a new world for Elysium. Nothing too fancy to say; let it pass.

Shin Megami Tensei (Working Title) - The 25th Anniversary of the franchise is upon us, as JRPG maker, ATLUS, attempts to bring the new Shin Megami Tensei over to the Switch. Again, like Xenoblade Chronicles 2, nothing to be said. Just darker enemies and an original character with an unusual plot.

Skyrim Makes the "Switch"! - Remember back when Iwata tried its best to bring third party support on both Wii and Wii U? Especially the NEW Nintendo 3DS systems? Well, it seems the Switch achieved itself to glory, as the Elder Scrolls: Skyrim makes its way over in Autumn of 2017! Todd Howard of Bethesda Studios has promised his fans that they will plan to take Dovahkiin on the go throughout their own adventures. It's gonna be a blast, I promise to you all. ;)

Super Bomberman R! - Since that Konami is currently responsible for merging with the now-defunct company, Hudson Soft, as well as their most hated CEO and President, Hideki Hayakawa, for being a troll-like butt towards both Kojima and his fans, Super Bomberman R! is about to receive a long awaited sequel! Set exactly 20 years following Bomberman's adventures, and seven more, following his inactive journey, Bomberman rallies up seven more characters, which leads up to eight players. Yabba dabba doo. It's gonna take forever to cooperate and bring up a lot of friends. But still, it has two features: 1. Players have the option to cooperate together and take on Mr. Meanie's biggest attempt of ridding the world of Planet Bomber forever. 2. Players can compete against each other in multiplayer battles by winning points, similar to Bomberman 64. Super Bomberman R! will be launched in the 3rd March of 2017.

ULTRA Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers - Now this is a real treat for competitive fighting fans of all ages! ULTRA Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers is an official update that's exclusive to the Nintendo Switch. Capcom always stays loyal to their IPs, including Nintendo themselves. Good thing Ryu came along for Super Smash Bros. and his amiibo figures! It's basically an updated version of Street Fighter II yet again, but have even more characters and amazing graphics without sprites! I wonder if Tekken might be of assistance? ULTRA Street Fighter II: The Final Challengers will be launched on the Nintendo Switch only in 2017.

NBA 2K18 - 2K Sports is at it again, and this time, they're taking basketball on the go with NBA 2K18. Set to be released this September, the game will feature the same old gameplay style, teams and a lot more. Won't be getting into a lot of it, so don't expect me to join in sports in real life. My dad usually hates bowling all the time! >_<

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild - Looks like we're in for the ride of our lives, as Eiji Aonuma, the creator of all things modern Zelda, is about to take his precious franchise to a newer level. After being unveiled three times and introducing a new mechanic that lets Link jump for the first time, Breath of the Wild also includes full voice acting for your enjoyment! However, unlike past Legend of Zelda games, where all it had were just a series of sounds and noises made by characters, Breath of the Wild will be among the first ever game to not only include voice acting, but also an open world environment that will have you get goose bumps and a bit of tears. The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be officially launched on the Nintendo Switch in the 3rd March of 2017. And also, the Wii U version, because it's about to die pretty soon. thank glob for that we dont wanna understand the pleasing just shut up and update super smash bros already we want our k rool back not that silly weeb named iwata gawd

So, what did you all think of the presentation being shown off? Were you surprised about Todd-san and Suda51 making appearances around the Switch presentation? Are you planning to pick up Breath of the Wild, either on the Switch... or that other one that's about to be dead? Which game are you planning to get during launch? Lemme know what you think in the comment section down below, and I'll check 'em out.

Oh, by the way, I do have a few bonuses for all my watchers out there! In Super Mario Odyssey, which I'm not entirely into the Super Mario craze, due to its annoying use of its theme song in YTP videos and the game's trademark voice, there is one secret that can be found within New Donk City. If you look carefully at the green signs that represent as street locations, you'll simply notice that the sign that makes a third cut says "KROOL ST." Could this be a good sign that King K. Rool is indeed coming back after being flogged, ridiculed and tormented by the late and not so great satoru iwata that miserable little son of a gun the late Nintendo president, Satoru Iwata, following his absence from Mario Super Sluggers? Well, only one way to find out is to be patient until a new Donkey Kong game is out there. And I just know that Kimishima didn't end up becoming like "him". Way to go, Kimishima-san for not screwing this up, and the fact that you've made an on-screen appearance within a live camera. ;)

In other good news, Miiverse is no longer welcome! After five years of being the dumbest web service handed down by Hatena, which I'll explain in just a quick moment, David Young, Nintendo of America’s assistant manager of public relations, had officially denounced the Miiverse feature that it will not be available on the Nintendo Switch. He immediately said during the Switch event in New York City:

"I can answer that we’re not going to be using Miiverse for Nintendo Switch."

Great going, Mr. Young! You've given out the middle finger straight into Hatena. Oh, I should also point out to those of you that don't know what Hatena is. Basically, it's a name of a Kyoto, Japan originated based company that is founded by a grumpy looking fellow named Junya Kondo. They are responsible for their creation with Flipnote Hatena, which lasted five years of nothing but stick figures, a tasty source of dragons like us as cereal brands, and even SMOSH. Though, since that they're jokingly still alive to this day, I personally agree with I Hate Everything on this. Fight me. Then came Miiverse, which is cringeworthy territory and after five years, it was a kick in the knackers for Hatena to go bye-bye! I'm really glad that the Flipnote Frog needed to retire all of a sudden. So... don't let the door hit you on the way out, Kon-Dork. (snickers loudly)

Oh, and speaking of all things retirement, with the Nintendo Switch launch release being upon us, I will open up a new week that will lead us to what kind of new content it will be having. But I can't explain everything in detail, so come on over on the 26th February and you'll see what I have in store! :D

Also, I highly recommend on watching that Parental Controls video starring Bowser and Bowser Jr. in a bonus Nintendo Switch related situation. It's really cute and super funny! That's for all those dragon lovers out there. Ha ha! XD

Don't believe me about King K. Rool coming back in a brand new Donkey Kong Country game? Here. Let GameXplain shut your pie hole. ;) [bit.ly/2irtO5T]
