On the inside, obviously, since I live in an apartment. I've ordered a new red dragon rug and a bluish dragon doormat (which I'll be placing inside the door so as not to garner the wrong kind of attention from devout neighbors). I've also ordered some new red flannel sheets for my bed. Since most of my time is spent in my apartment, it makes the most sense to me to make the place look like I live in it.

On a side note, I've opted to stay here another fifteen months after my lease expires in June. I've never liked moving, we moved all the goddamn time when I was a boy, and I rather like the weather here for the most part. And the people are pretty damn good, too. It's mostly the devout fundie Christians I am wary around, even though my only real experiences with them were up in the Pacific Northwest and not down here in the South. I've noticed that the "social contract" as it were, around here is pretty much live and let live, and I feel that as long as I don't give the neighbors a reason to hate me, they'll probably leave me alone, which is kinda how I like it anyway.

Finally, I've decided against the audio equipment I mentioned a few weeks ago in another journal. I like vinyl records, but taking care of more personal needs takes precedence over that. Besides, if I save enough money up, I might actually have enough money eventually to buy a really nice setup, and not just a turntable but a whole audio setup. Better to spend more on something I won't have to replace as quickly, than to spend less and be nickel-and-dimed to death with replacements.
