Alright, the truth is that, for a while, I've been playing this MMORPG called Final Fantasy XIV. One of the reasons why I haven't mentioned about it is because, for one stupid thing, FFXIV is not available in most Asian countries, including Malaysia. I had to seek help from a friend of mine, King Tsukimaru, just to be able to buy, register, play and keep paying monthly for this game. (He really, really, REALLY wanted me to be able to play FFXIV as well.) At present, I play exclusively in the Tonberry server. If you wanna look for me, I play as this midget race, Lalafell, and my in-game name is Marwan Viride.

Anyway, previously, I've played a few MMORPGs before this as well. Several years back, I played the official Malaysian edition of Ragnarok Online, while it was in free beta. (There was a much older sprite-based isometric MMORPG I've played as well, which was the first MMORPG I've ever played in my life, but I forgot what it's called.) Co-op 4-player MMOs like Spiral Knights and Warframe probably don't count as MMORPGs, but I beg to differ.

Although I don't play MMORPGs much, I admit, one thing I like about such games is the ability to customize your own player avatar, gender and even race, making him/her/it/them unique to you only. No two players are the same, anyway... It's quite an experience playing alongside other players with their own customized characters, and with their own personalized playstyles, which gave such games more diversity as everyone get to be the very hero they wanted to be. You don't see this much in other multiplayer games. There's also character progression, player economy, etc. which is another thing I like about MMORPGs.

I'm thinking if there's any more good MMORPGs out there. Well, since I'm probably a "fucking furry fuck", I admit that I'm leaning a bit towards games that even lets players play as an anthropomorphic race. (And no, catgirls or some other kemonomimi race do not count.) The first time I typed this journal, it was more about asking if there are any good furry-themed MMORPGs out there besides Earth Eternal or anything similar to that. I changed my mind after I realized that I'm probably asking too much. Well, if not furry, an MMORPG that lets you play as a midget race (like the Lalafells) may do as well.
