For those who came to my New Years meet i did over the weekend, thank you for showing up! Was a good way to finish off the year around a lot of friends and acquaintances in all the geeky groups I am in, making a successfully prepped and deep fried turkey everyone loved, and moods getting out of a rut that was going on for a few Weeks (seasonal related i am guessing). Just finished getting stuff ready for the week and getting my fiances in Quicken all cleaned up and accurate to start off on the right foot in 2017.

I cant say these are resolutions, but goals for the year I hope to obtain or get real close to by end of this year:

1. Focus more on the clinical/seasonal depression issues i got... Try to find the roots of them and work to resolve most of it from returning or be more quickly to get back in right moods.

2. Try to find at least one or two to date this year and work on finding a partner to be with in life (would help #1 on the list).

3. As hard as it is for me, keep improving focus and discipline and understanding of my budget as a whole (what i make, what i need to dish out every month, what i actually can splurge with on things).

4. Invest more (financially and time wise) into my hobbies i have not focused much on in years - guns/shooting, my project/classic cars to get road worthy again, maybe doodle more often than I did in 2016.

5. Keep myself around folks IRL as I can see being in my home alone too long does not bode well for my moods. A challenge with the work schedule I have, but need to work on this.

6. Hopefully have actual vacations this year to help refresh my mind and soul. I didn't get any vacation in 2016 thanks to the depression problems. Camp, see family/relatives in KY and FL, try to meet up more with my brother and his wife.

We will see how the year goes. Hope 2017 treats all of us well!
