Just Got My SSDI COLA "Increase" by ACDragon

I put "Increase" in quotes because even though there's a gross increase of 0.3% of my monthly income, I will actually be getting two dollars LESS per month because of an increase in my Medicare premium.

Does somebody want to tell me there's a logical reason for this "increase?" Last year, social security recipients got nothing because "the price of gasoline went down." As most SSDI recipients are disabled and can't fucking drive, chances are really super good that they don't own a car, but oh no, gasoline costs less so the government's not going to give you a cost of living adjustment because somehow in their convoluted line of thinking "lower gas prices" = "lower everything else that SSDI recipients actually use prices."

But at least last year they were honest about the lack of an increase. Now they're decreasing it and lying about it, saying it's a "0.3% increase." Well, if I'm getting this Cost of Living Adjustment and my income is DECREASING, that means it's NOT an increase.
