Trolls - movie review by JohnStripedfur

This film felt like it should've came out during the early to mid 2000's. With their own versions of pop songs and extremely colorful. Not to mention that it uses celebrity voices as part of their advertising campaign. Lets face it, their advertising campaign hasn't been the best at all. I don't know what's going on with DreamWorks right now, but it seems like there's a battle between the creators, the animators, and the studio heads on how to make money or make a good movie.

This movie itself......is not half bad. It's not great, but I enjoyed it somewhat. It still felt very mid-2000's, but the story is pretty good, the voice acting (even though celebrities) are good, and the animation is very colorful. Extremely colorful to put it bluntly. There's a lot of pop songs in there as well. In their own versions like what Glee and Pitch Perfect did, but not all of them are today's. Thank goodness. But, I'm sure it'll get out of date in a few years.

Overall, not a bad movie to watch on a rainy afternoon or put it in for kids to babysit. But, won't be going to see it again anytime soon
