Goodbye Wii U, hello Nintendo 3DS! (And the Switch, too.) by BlazRtheDragon

Well, folks, this is it. After almost more than five years, Nintendo has officially announced that their ill fated console, the Wii U, the most mistaken piece of junk that nobody even uses it anymore, thanks to Iwata's stubbornness and inept attitude, which was ironic to see how he passed away four days later, following his refusal of being either fired, resigning his role as president or be gone for all eternity, is about to become...

(echoes) DISCONTINUED.

Now, those of you who are sticking with the NEW Nintendo 3DS systems, you don't have to hear everything; you're good to go. And for those of you who didn't hear it for the first time, Nintendo recently announced that the console would no longer be in production, due to a major amount of reasons why it didn't sell well. And that's where I come in to settle it in with a list of them:

  1. The lack of third party support - Remember when the Wii U was announced back at E3 2011? Remember when Nintendo announced a partnership between companies like EA, SEGA, Ubisoft and among others? Well, they found out that the console looked unappealing and was soon a confused concept of why you need a gamepad to play on the TV. Though, Sonic Boom: Fire & Ice is very fun to play on the NEW Nintendo 3DS XL, which might be on my Christmas wishlist. But still, Nintendo faced a huge experience by a misunderstanding from both the press and their fans.

  2. The lack of advertisement - The console had an entire lack of commercials that were both aired on the telly and uploaded on their YouTube channel respectively. With the Nintendo 3DS being a top notch seller for all things original titles, Virtual Console products, 3D Classics and many more, there wasn't a chance of bringing the Wii U home for Christmas. Reason? Well, make that a few: A. Where are the commercials of it? Did you drag that console away just to ignore its attention? B. Both it and Iwata recently got a lump of coal in their stocking, due to the fact that the console is a massive flop of jokes. C. Neither King K. Rool nor Sceptile made it in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U. But nonetheless, I hope that Kimishima can set things right without Iwata's actions.

  3. Originality becomes ported - Back in the 1st September, we learned that the Nintendo 3DS was super popular, it received its own special Nintendo Direct episode! There was even good games that might be either hit or miss, if it depends on their own reception. But we're not talking about that; we're talking about Super Mario Maker, Yoshi's Wooly World, and Hyrule Warriors. Super Mario Maker will be named as Super Mario Maker for Nintendo 3DS and Yoshi's Wooly World will be known as Poochy & Yoshi's Wooly World, hence the name next to its yarn like title. However, since that Hyrule Warriors Legends already got its 3DS port and its fully loaded array of DLC content, I'll let it pass. As for the Wii U? Yeah, consider that spatting out a few games that moved in to portable gaming. Thank goodness I'm still sticking with the Nintendo 3DS. Imagine having to see Pokken Tournament be playable, I'd be sticking with Sceptile and Lucario as my best buds! XD

  4. The lack of its name - Everyone's gotta be honest with each other; most gamers and Nintendo fans feel a whole lot confused after it was announced and released to the public. The Wii U? It should've been called the Nintendo U! Not that silly looking quasi sequel to its branding name. I bet that Mr. Iwata was super repetitive at times, especially when their line of NFC figures (which before amiibo was invented and shown off) were sold out, thanks to scalpers, someone should've told him to shut up on understanding with a pleased attitude. But nope! There were many forums like, "Mr. Iwata needs to step down!"; "Mr. Iwata must be fired at all costs!" Or, "Mr. Iwata needs to leave us alone and get a new president, just so that someone can bring back K. Rool!" However, in this reason, it's the name identity. The Family Computer? It looked great, even before the Nintendo Entertainment System was launched a few or several years later; the Super Family Computer/Super Famicom was introduced and got 16 bit graphics with loads of Mode 7 features; the N64? Get N or Get Out! The GameCube? Yeah, ongoing... whatever. The Wii? Wii would like to play! That's the only optional feature when gamers come to enjoy the functionality that there is to offer. But for the Wii U... What?! Dude! That doesn't make any sense! The Wii "U"?! Whoa, now I've seen a lot of bad things happening with its terrible concept and its reference to the SEGA Saturn.

  5. Their only hope? - The final reason that there is to offer about the Wii U was The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It may sound more of an original Legend of Zelda game, but it's an open world action adventure experience! It would save Nintendo from either going third party or end up being bankrupt. However, when it came to the Wii U, it might end up being dug up into the grave. Back before third party companies praised the concept of the Nintendo NX, now known as the Nintendo Switch, that piece of junk failed to appeal a lot of them. Let alone compete against the likes of the Playstation 4 and the XBOX ONE. So much for that Wii U GameCube Controller Adapter. Can we get a YouTube Poop to tell Etika to shut up about his anti-narrative speech towards King K. Rool, please? Oh! And bring in a waterlogged Sceptile to punish the former and teach him a lesson of what happens when he fully regrets of becoming a past president.

So, I guess that's all I have to offer about my honest opinion of reasons why it failed. What do you guys think? Should Nintendo plan to end the Wii U production soon? Do you have an honest opinion you'd like to share about the Wii U itself? Leave a response in the comment section. ;)
