To all my friends out there post-election day, who are hoping and striving for equality, whether you're cis or trans, straight or gay, anything at all. You're still loved, you're still real. The people who support you are still here, even if right now it feels like America just flipped against you. I don't know how to put it eloquently, as it's 4am where I am, and I'm pretty much in a panic, but I wanted to at least say something to remind us all that we're still here for each other. The people who support you did not disappear over night, and I mean both your immediate circle of friends and the people who voted for your rights.
Please don't give up on things. Don't give up being you, don't give up your beliefs. I'm sorry if this is a weird or corny journal. It's late and I am crying quite a bit right now.
I don't find this weird or corny at all, it's actually very appropriate and needed for not only LGBT, but essentially for anyone outside of Dump's 'white hetero male' bracket, as he's expressed his negativity towards all else outside of it.. Your journal is a good reminder that we're still loved and supported by those that mean the most to us.
