I'm really bad at staying updated. Dang!
So what have I been up to? Where am I going? Where will I stop? No body knows!
Well since my last post I've graduate college. I'm still trying to be a comic artist, and I learn what that means more and more each day. Me and my buddy Lychee are still developing our comic strip. We've got a lot of strips ready to produce and upload. Of course we each have our own personal work.
I'm currently developing a story for a comic, it's unnamed at the moment, but it is still in early development. It's about a young girl who wishes on a star and finds her self abducted and thrown in the middle of coup against an imperialistic power. I don't want to talk too much about it but I will be uploading sketches and drawings of the characters. And when I finally draw environments I'll upload those too.
Speaking of uploads, can you tell I've been uploading more frequently? I'm trying. It's one of my personal goals to get out an do the networking aspect of being an artist. I mean yeah I want to make money, but I also want to have a community of friends who create work and/or appreciate what I do. And to do achieve that I have to share more. Share my feeling on other peoples work, and share my own work.
This Friday I have an interview for a comic apprenticeship. I am really excited about it. I feel like there is a lot of potential in this opportunity. I don't want to disclose the name of the person, but I feel like I can learn a lot from them. And who knows? Maybe they know people that I need to know??? The biggest downside is that they live 2-3hrs away from me, which is a long commute in my not fuel-efficient car. But whenever I read about a famous artist or a professional artist I like there is usually a lot of risks that have been taken to lead to their success. With that as my motivation I am so PUMPED!
on a side note if you happen to live near Sequim and wouldn't mind a clean and funny person crashing at your house once a week, hit a bruh up.
