Storks (movie) - review by JohnStripedfur

I wasn't really looking forward to see this movie because it feels like it's going to be one of those generic passable animated movies that small kids will love, but won't hold up to the older audiences.

And after I saw the trailers, I wasn't feeling the vibe of it. Because the trailers seems like it was made for, and I don't mean to sound insulting, people with ADD. It was so fast pace and the jokes were coming at you each and every second. And I was hoping the movie wouldn't be like that because I felt the studios just want to get the jokes out of there to make the kids come and drag their parents to see it, but in reality. The movie is better than what they've shown. Hell, Disney was able to do that in the last decade so far.

But, the movie is exactly what the trailer showed. Even though it didn't show every single joke on the trailers, it did however showed me what the pacing of the movie is. It's really fast pace and in your face. With joke at every single corner. It was hard for me to keep track of it. There were a few legit jokes that made me laugh a bit, but the rest. I was just sighing heavily. It did slowed down a few times when it was needed, but the rest was very fast pace that I felt the story would be over before I was able to settle down. The characters were a bit interesting, but some were just very annoying. Especially the pigeon one. WOW.

Anyways, the children who were watching the movie in the theater did enjoyed the hell out of this movie so at least they got that part down. I guess the studio was going for another Lego Movie only with more fast pace jokes. Probably because they think children will love the movie more if it has more jokes than story. It's not a bad movie, don't get me wrong. But, it's not good either. It's passable. It's one of those types of movies where you just put the DVD on to babysit the kids for a good 90 minutes without worrying much.

Overall, I say it's a rental. It's not the worse animated movie of the year, but it won't be consider good in some sense.
