RMFC 2016
What an amazing year! I know a lot of people were not too thrilled with the layout of the convention space, with having to relocate this year. I hope that anyone that was disappointed realizes it was due to renovation space at the Marriott that the con was temporarily located this year.
PERSONALLY, as a dealer and art jockey, I don't get to really enjoy panels and mingling anymore, so for us Dealers, we personally loved the layout of the space. There was a designated side entrance just for the convention space with ample parking, and was very easy for us to arrive and depart each day.
The Dealer space was very large so you never felt cramped, but I do know that for certain dealers, they did not get a lot of traffic that they would need to harvest sales for the convention :(
Hopefully RMFC 2017 will go back to their original space for the Dealers, as well as layout so that sales will be equal for all parties.

I made some new friends ( milesdf / mustangrevolver / sukebepanda / etc), and got to art jam on Sunday night! We also got to go to dinner as a big group, which was a lot of fun!

NEW STREAMING SCHEDULE
As of my recent decision to quit my day job and focus on art, I will be introducing a weekly streaming schedule!
Scheduled Streaming will include (currently until further changes) 7PM - 10PM (MST) on Monday and Wednesday, and 10AM - 1PM (MST) Tuesday and Thursday. At this time Friday, Saturday, and Sunday will be left open to allow for time off to spend with the husband portzebie.

Streaming events will include sketches and colored sketches, and I will occasionally be streaming current projects; comics, merchandise designs, etc.

PATREON
As with the current decision to go freelance, I will be reintroducing my Patreon to the masses.
Rates will be as low as $1 for certain updates, and will probably go as high as $50-60; these rates are pending, as I need to rehaul my tiers.

OTHER
So what else has been going on? What is currently in the works?
The next couple of weeks I will be dedicating my time to daily drawings and sketches to post on social media (mostly Twitter) so that I can try to get more traffic.

Commissions are open as always, but hopefully with the introduction of streaming, I'll be able to have additional followers and commissioners to help me down the path to successfully sustaining freelance life.

MERCHANDISE is another current project. I have many T-Shirt designs that I will hopefully be introducing soon, and I also wish to introduce acrylic / wooden charms. Lapel pins are another product I'd like to look into as well.
Currently it is only being discussed, but tooiebird and I are looking into making artist starter packs that include a pencil bag, sketchbook, and starter supplies (pencils, pens, etc). Keep your eyes peeled for updates for our recent venture!

MFF will be my next big con; currently it looks like portzebie will not be able to join, but who knows! Maybe things will turn around!
