I was in the bathroom when a caterpillar crawled out of the houseplant and spun a cocoon. It supported the cocoon with 3 strands diagonally up to the ceiling, crossing the space in the room.

Mom's gonna kill me when she sees that.

I told the caterpillar as gently as Fluttershy, "Oh, no, you can't make your cocoon there," and gently moved it into a corner. It crawled along the wall and made another cocoon with strands across the room.

I told it again, "Oh, no, you can't make your cocoon there," and moved into a different cozy corner in the living room. It crawled into the middle of the wall again and made strands across the room.

This happened over and over, each time the caterpillar crawling away from where I put it, and making strands filling a different room of the house.
