It helps to simply take in whatever you deem interesting in ways only geared towards your comfort. I think most people do this. It's more of a memo to myself.

It makes me think of the rise of higher technology over the years. People have had far less convenience and gain in times past, and in that ordinary living would come obsession with newly encountered things. It wasn't always material wealth. It could be people you know and love, or notions that heightened your spirits.

I need this sort of thing in my life - slower absorption of pleasantry. It helps that, video game wise, in the midst of the prominence of all these huge games, there've been much smaller scale yet still ambitious works put out. I'd do myself good service to spend more time enjoying those types of games. People like to treat indie games like the bottom of the barrel, and looking in some places, I can see why, but there're some legitimately interesting ones out there.

It's all about maintaining a healthy mindset and practices.
