I was really excited for this movie. Not only because I'm a huge fan of the first one, but because I've been waiting for a sequel of this since I heard rumors about it like back in 1998. It's been a long time for fans like me to wait for this and by golly I went in hoping I at least have fun with this film. I don't care if it's bad or good. As long as I had fun, it's worth it.

And it's totally worth it. Even though it lacks the charisma of the original and many cast members are missing from it as well. It's still a fun watch. I enjoyed every minute of this movie. Takes me back when I first saw ID4 20 years ago. I was the right age to fully experience a popcorn summer blockbuster movie. And the sequel delivers just as much. Not sure why many critics are panning this movie. I thought it was pretty good for what it is. You don't go see this movie expecting something Oscar worthy. You go in, eat popcorn, and enjoy the action. Take my word for it. If you're a huge fan of ID4, you will enjoy IDR.
