Almost four years after I first put my foot in the door, I am now finally, properly, on Weasyl.

I registered here on Weasyl way back in 2012, not long after the site was first created. However, aside from uploading some banner artwork and filling out the character profiles for the 12 members of my original cast, my account here has essentially been dormant for more than three years...

...until now.

It probably won't come as a shock to any of you to find that my sudden increased presence here has been prompted by the great migration away from FurAffinity in the wake of the latest hacking fiasco. I had long intended to make greater use of my Weasyl account, but having somewhat drifted away from the furry fandom in the last year or so, I hadn't felt any real urgency to escalate my involvement by maintaining a presence on another site. The problem is that FurAffinity has always served as my main art gallery, and the latest 'incident' has made me realise that in the event FA should ever suddenly suffer a complete and total meltdown, I don't really have any up-to-date gallery presence anywhere else.

Hence, I am now here.

I was always pretty impressed with Weasyl's general presentation and the options to customise your profile. Plus I find the interface to be intuitive, tidy and comfortably familiar. So it was always my next likely destination.

In the process of setting up my presence here, I have spent several days populating my Weasyl gallery with a collection of my extensive 'back catalogue' of work dating way back to my arrival in the furry fandom in 2007. I should emphasise however that what I have uploaded here is only a selection of my past work in that time. I have done a lot of art in my near-decade in the fandom and frankly it is too much to reupload every single piece here. Instead, for the years from 2007 to 2013, I have uploaded a number of pieces which either carry some significance, have proven very popular or are simply among my personal favourites. I have then uploaded a full and complete archive of all my finished work since the beginning of 2014.

In addition, I will now be uploading all of my completed work here to Weasyl from now on.

This does not mean I will not be uploading anything anywhere else - I still intend to make full use of my FurAffinity profile as far as possible because I have a considerable watchbase there, and I continue to submit the majority of my artwork to Eccentricities - A Life Underfoot which I continue to visit having previously spent many years there as a member of staff. I may also yet decide to utilise my accounts on other sites on which I am currently inactive. However, my Weasyl gallery will now be updated whenever I create a new piece, so if you wish to only follow me here, you should no longer be missing out on anything.

As mentioned before, I have not reuploaded all of my old work to Weasyl. Therefore, if you wish to see more of my old artwork, I would recommend either checking out my FurAffinity gallery or visiting my website - RipRoarRex's Realm - where I continue to upload every piece I produce.

I'm still somewhat settling in here so my apologies if I'm not quite using the site correctly. I should also stress that in spite of increasing my presence here, my involvement in the furry fandom as a whole has significantly diminished in the last year or so, therefore I cannot promise any regularity of new submissions or indeed swift replies to messages, for which I apologise. However, where possible, I hope to see plenty more of you all here from now on.
