Just curious by icefyrefox

are people still flocking to this site after the whole thing with FA? Or to that new site, Furry Network?? Or are they still there? I know a lot of people lost their accounts during the password wipe thing, but wow. I don't have a whole lot of active watchers or people that really seem to care about what I post, but it feels more dead than usual on my end.

I'll likely not give up on FA for now, but I have hopes that this site takes off now. I like the layout better to be honest.

Life gets lonely; I just wanna make friends lol

I know that feeling. I'm really hoping that people don't just do like they always do.

    Friends are nice to have ;o;

after all these years, i think its permamently predictable what will happen to be honest, :P

If people want to invest all their time and effort into a steaming pile of shit, that is what they are going to have in the end.

        • Link

yep, and they deserve it, much like blizzard being responsible for skyrocketing overwatch porn by causing the tracer butt incident

Yeah. It's sad when you see activity pick up here and then a few days later its dead again. I hate what happened to FA but I hope people stick around here. Its such a nice site with so much potential.
Indeed they are.. And I don't have many. X,D

Yes indeed. It makes me sad. Not sure why I got my hopes up this time. FA survived months of downtimes, rapists, dog fuckers, black hat hackers, people's security literally being taken away, multiple donation drives right into 'neers pocket or for a mysterious server that is never going to go live, a promise of transparency followed by immediate lies and attempted cover up...

It didn't even take two of these events to make me want to ditch the flaming bag of shit, so why don't others see it? Is it the bystander effect, just on a grander scale?

.... sorry, might be a little too angry about this <_<

        • Link

Naww you're alright. You have a right to be angry about it. :>

Some of that I didn't know about. o.o I know they've had problems with the servers and did the donation thing to help fix the site, and thing with IMVU, but I didn't know about the rest (I've been living under the internet rock apparently lol). I wish they had sent emails or something better, or more formal, out about the ordeal with compromised passwords and such tho. That should have been a thing done right after they brought the site up as precautions if they knew that somebody had gotten a hold of site code. I feel so bad for people who had to rely on that site for income.

I mean, I've noticed a slight bump in my own activity just here (Isn't much but still noticeable), but it still feels iffy everywhere it seems. I'm trying to figure out where everybody migrated to unless its just where most people are still dealing with exams and such.

Honestly, the UI of this site could be terrible and I still wouldn't go back to FA at this point. The admins over at FA even letting personal information slip from their own laziness to update their site is just too much to crawl back to.

Yeah I agree. I'm only gonna hang around for a while to see where it goes and if people still flock back. I didn't have much sunk in that place anyway. They should have emailed people or given some kind of heads up about changing passwords on other places as precaution in my opinion. I feel bad for people that relied on it for income. u-u

      • Link

Yeah, it's the income is why FA could openly sell people's personal info to the highest bidder and people would still go back to it. It's where the people are, and they need the commissions. Unless it gets closed from the outside by the long arm of the law itself, FA can do whatever the hell it wants to its consumer base, and they would still stick around.

Its sad really. And I know its hard for sites like this to really be able to take off because some people just don't like change or have the want to manage multiple galleries. Is somebody bringing the law into the whole thing now? It honestly would not surprise me.

Heard rumors of a lawsuit, but that's all it is right now, just rumors.

            • Link

Considering the situation, I wouldn't be surprised if somebody brought one up. I'll just be sitting back with some popcorn waiting to see how it all turns out haha
