After quite a bit of consideration and introspection, I have decided that the further use of the name Inanna is no longer appropriate for me. In fact, I believe personally that it was never appropriate for me, because I've never been fully convinced of the validity of my claim to that name. So, I've changed my profile around a bit to reflect this decision. As of tonight, I have gone back to using a name I used when I first got involved in the furry fandom: Manasga'el. My first furry account was on FurAffinity under the name ManasgaelRoss (the "Ross" referring to "Rossenod," a moniker I used in Otherkin circles at the time). I feel far more comfortable using the name of Manasga'el than I ever have felt using the name of Inanna.

Of course, my username will remain the same for the time being. I don't want to have to start brand-new accounts on all the sites I'm involved in, but I'd rather change my username on those various sites gradually to reflect this new decision. That being said, however, I may have to eventually abandon these accounts if my concerns surrounding the name of Inanna worsen. In any case, what I do know is that eventually I plan on phasing the Inanna name out entirely.

Also, I've changed my gender from female to herm, and I no longer have the old "occupation: deity" included in my profile info, because I don't know if I am one or not, and even if it turned out that I was one, I feel that referring to myself in that particular way is presumptuous at best.

I've retained the "Alpha Draconian" species, and I imagine that I will continue to do so for quite some time into the future.

I would ask that you all try to refrain from referring to me as Inanna as best you can from now on. I won't throw a tantrum or anything like that if you slip up, but I want to eventually get used to being referred to as Manasga'el or just Mana for short, as it used to be before I went off in search of my "true name."
