Spoke to the manager today, and confirmed that there have been no complaints about me whatsoever in the time I've lived here, no concerns, no worries, etc. Nobody moved in recently enough to have been traumatized by me getting frustrated during a fruitless Google search or while some douchebag was hacking in Team Fortress 2.

Also, this being a big complex with a lot of apartments, and the apartment numbers starting with the number of the floor they're on, there's a huge amount of confusion among not only cops, but delivery people of all sorts as well, meaning that this was most likely just a fluke. The cops were probably called on someone else, and they likely mistook my apartment number for the one they were searching for.

There's also the fact that they acted nervous, as if they expected me to come unhinged on them, and the fact that they originally believed that there was another person in the apartment with me when they showed up, both of which have me thinking that they were responding to a 911 emergency call about a domestic abuse situation and not some random guy yelling at his computer.

So all my worries about some sinister plot seem to have been proven false, and I, for one, am relieved that that is most likely the case.
