Back to the Old GeForce Again by ACDragon

Good job, AMD, you just lost a loyal customer. Good job Newegg, as well, because you also have lost a loyal customer.

I paid over $230.00 on a brand-new top-of-the-line AMD R9 380 video card, only to find out that even though the card itself works fine, the drivers AMD makes for it are garbage and cause the graphics to stop working in the middle of any 3D games I play, like Team Fortress 2, BioShock Infinite, and so on... games that my old GeForce didn't have a problem with at all.

So I went to Newegg and told them I need to return it, because I am a very dissatisfied customer. Well, wouldn't you know that Newegg does NOT give you an option to have UPS pick the product up at your door? Amazon does that, so why the fuck can't Newegg do it? I mean, the reason I bought this card through Newegg is because I don't have a car and there's no bus system in the city I live in. If I had a car, I would have driven myself over to Fry's Electronics and been done with it a long time ago, but now Newegg expects me to walk several miles to the nearest UPS Store so that I can actually return the product I'm dissatisfied with. And not only do I have to do all the footwork, but I also have to pay all the shipping. I didn't buy a top-of-the-line card just so I could have a pretty paperweight and have to spend even more money getting the seller to actually take it back. I'm not made of money, this was a MAJOR purchase for me, but nope! Not relevant, too bad for me, I'm just gonna have to deal with it, haha, isn't Newegg so wonderful?

Well, actually Newegg, no, you are not wonderful. And you obviously don't care about losing customers. My anger at AMD was easily eclipsed by my anger at you. Though I said I would never buy AMD again, I'd be more likely to purchase an AMD product than to ever purchase anything from Newegg again, because your "customer service" needs to grow the hell up and provide the service you claim is so important to your business.

I know this is besides the point but how do you get groceries and other vital stuff in your situation. I'd like insight in the event I end up in a similar situation

I usually have about two hundred dollars a month extra that I can spend on the computer and/or frivolities. Sometimes I can get away with spending a little more, such as the $220.00 I spent on this card. It basically depends on how much money you make. As it is, I sometimes fuck things up and end up having to borrow at the end of the month because though I have the money necessary for food and such, there have been a few months where I've gotten pizza delivered to me on the food money several times in a single month, and that puts a huge strain on the finances. If you figure that I spend $25.00 on a pizza delivery from Domino's, and on some months I end up getting five such deliveries, that's $125.00 right there that could have (and indeed should have) gone to groceries.

It also depends on how much my monthly bills are. Lately my electrical bills have been lower than they were back in the summertime when I had the A/C going pretty much nonstop, and that's given me some extra breathing room money-wise.

There's two grocery stores within walking distance of where I live, each less than a mile away from where I live. I usually go to the store wearing a backpack so that I'll be able to carry a decent amount of groceries and still have my hands free. As for bills, I pay them online, and I pay my rent at the apartment manager's office, which is on the same property as the one I live on. Since I have to pay with a money order, I get that at one of the aforementioned grocery stores.

Newegg cant do it because they aren't a multi billion dollar company. Plus they are a company, They expect only 1 thing from you, Money, and you should only expect prompt delivery from them. I'm sorry to sound rude, But that's how Most companies work, Amazon is the exception, not the rule.

Also AMD has always had issues with games that work excellent on Nvdia (Though the TF2 can run on a soggy potato so take that as you will)
