Plans for this year are kind of off schedule due to work situations, but since that's beyond my control, I'm not beating myself up over it (much). I will say, though, that I still have writing and art projects in the pipeline.

One art project I'd really like to tackle is a series of updated, more-detailed portraits of the main cast from Auran Legend. That's right, I haven't forgotten about them ;) They've come a long way since their first drawings many years— wait, a decade ago?? Already? Wow, this is long overdue... Mai Tao, Mikaou, Akosha, Ri'kinto, Tekari, and Kibwe all deserve some new looks, and viewers! After all, the novel is already complete and seeking a publisher (in fact, on that front I've been checking around for some potential new places to submit to, but I gotta do my research first).

As mentioned in the recent con report, I'm also in the process of attempting sequential art once again. I don't have much to show for it yet, unfortunately, but the idea has been lingering in the back of my mind so long that I just have to try it. Something I hope to get to in the coming months.

Along a similar vein, I've also been contemplating what to do with my Tech Sorceress idea. I fear it may be too hard of a sell to attempt publication, but another route I could try is to write it all up, edit it, and then post the story and its entirety online for free, as an example of my work to others that's free of charge. Of course, since it's an idea that's heavy on visuals, I have in mind a plan for each chapter, or even each scene, to be accompanied by an illustration. C'mon, it involves super sexy sci-fantasy ladies; it just begs to be seen (and that's the kinda stuff I love drawing). As I said before, however, this particular story isn't anywhere close to being ready to show off yet since I'm still so early in the creative process. Another project to tack onto the future to-do list, maybe for 2017 or 2018, depending on how things go.

For something a little closer to now, I've decided that with Legend already finished, my next big project will be the rewrite of Auran Connection that I've been planning. Lani and Riff were my first editors to the story and were excellent teachers (very patient, too), and I would like to take what I learned back then, apply it to what I've learned with Legend and Guardian Angels (read it), and come back to this modern epic to tighten up the plot, condense a lot of fluff, and fix a few continuity errors that I stubbornly left hanging thanks to past-me's naiveté.

Depending on how fast that goes, next up will likely be either Serenity's Edge (Kaili and Ïsara) or Knights of Lunae (Dame Sahara and the ARC Knights). No guarantees on whether I'll get to either this year, but at least I've got my plans.

Now... to just get them implemented...
