Family: Mel (Cousin, raised as siblings from age ten on), Lemmy (Cousin), Ora (Cousin), Keya (Aunt), Zea (Uncle, raised him), Estranged parents, estranged aunt and uncle, absent grandparents though they did help Zea support him and Mel. Married to Lan Tora.
Bio: Maize really had the deck stacked against him, but luckily his Uncle Zea was able to step in and raise him. However things weren't great still – it's only from age eighteen and on he was able to present as he wanted.

Teenage years sucked, don't ask about them. But he doesn't blame Fly for what happened like Lemmy does. Still, he keeps in touch with Lemmy because Mel is his favorite cousin/helped out a lot when Maize realized he was trans.

Maize has been dating Lan since college, and they married a few months ago. Maize is still trying to figure out what he wants to do with his life, but for now he helps out at Lan's gym.

He's really fond of that baseball bat.
