Another one of my more important characters: PaoTir is the daughter of a poor, local noblewoman and was raised to succeed him. But that changed when Lord RachnaKhan, the suzerain of her father, saw the young girl. She reminded the powerful tiger of his deceased second wife which he had loved dearly. So he took PaoTir back to his palace in Kolmakarr and made her his new wife.

After a first period of despair, PaoTir quickly adjusted to her new situation. She didn't loved her husband, but he treated her well and as a replacement for the lost chance of becoming satrap of her domain, she gained new possibilities in the capital.

Within a few years, she became the most important person in Kolmakarr after RachnaKhan himself. As his adviser and right-hand she soon assumed control of the civilian authorities and enjoys his absolute trust.

Since she never bore her husband a son, he lost his interest in PaoTir as a woman after a few years. As a reward for her services, but maybe because of his guilt feelings for bringing her into the capital against her will, he grants her a lot of freedom when it comes to her private pleasure. So from time to time she invites a skilled dancer, handsome artist or renowned adventurer into her quarters. One of these lucky fellows of Rakshan, RachnaKhan's eldest son. But the skilled politician would never let something like affect her work.
