Rooibo (pronounced "roo-ee-bo") is my main sona.

Personality: Friendly, thoughtful, quiet, initially reserved but warms up quickly to kindness. Fairly social but easily overwhelmed in large groups. Roo likes to help when she feels she can and wants to, yet is self-preserving at the same time. Can be a little self-absorbed. A worrywart who is often indecisive and procrastinates. Easily flustered, pessimistic and impatient. That said, Roo tries not to be overly pessimistic in front of friends. She is polite, passive and has an aversion to conflict.

Likes: mild sunny weather, pickles, blue cheese, anchovies, some inverts (e.g. bees, woodlouse, jumping spiders, crabs), dim lit rooms, dried seaweed, drawing, anatomy, quiet (not silent) places

Dislikes: Dampness, heavy rain or humidity, raw tomatoes and cucumber, being rushed, bright lights & excess noise, cottage cheese, overly dense forests, cliffs, most horror-themed media

Abilities: Her hand trunk acts as a highly dextrous limb. Levitation allows Roo to cross holes and gaps but she can't float very high, partly due to fear of heights.

Roo can also shapeshift, changing forms depending on the situation. It takes less energy to change species but retain features like fur colour, horns, mane. When partially shifted, she can hold form for an hour, more if the form resembles her default species. If Roo fully shifts, she can only hold that form for minutes. After time is up, she automatically reverts to her original form.

Due to her shapeshifting abilities, she can also regenerate when wounded but it is a slow and painful process. Roo cannot shift when healing.

Unlike most bakus, Roo doesn't usually eat dreams. If she does, it renders her other abilties unusable for variable periods of time.

Weaknesses: Slow runner, notoriously poor fighting skills, easily intimidated, physically unfit
