Name:
Roy "Little" McAstler
Age:
18
Gender:
Male
Height:
5 ft. 4 in.
Weight:
154 lbs.
Species:
Fox/Goat Hybrid

Short Description: Roy has a fox-like head and muzzle with two, short, grey horns on his head, goat ears, and yellow eyes. His overall fur color is white with light, almost sky-blue markings that are typical for foxes: they cover his hands and forearms, forelegs, end of tail, his chest and neck, and two triangle markings on top of his muzzle. He has claws for hands and hooves for feet and digitigrade legs. He stands at 5 ft. 4 in. and weighs around 154 lbs. with an overall lean, but muscular build.

Personality: Roy is one who usually does fine when meeting someone new or he enters a new, social environment. However, if the conversation he's having with someone doesn't pertain to his interests, he tends to shy away or outright ends the conversation. If he's talking to someone he likes or if feelings are brought up, he'll shy away and act awkward. Due to his young age, he tends to act naive or immature sometimes, and he enjoys showing off to someone he admires or likes.

Biography: Being a hybrid, most would think Roy was created artificially, since it's very rare for hybrids like him to be created naturally. However, he was one of the rare cases: his mother being a vixen and his father being a goat. They were quite surprised the pregnancy was possible, more so that Roy was healthy at birth; but growing up, his existence was received by mixed results from everyone: family, friends, and peers. Any praise he and his parents received were minimal compared to the abuse, violence, and threats that were made toward them, to the point they had to file restraining orders for some individuals.

This led to his parents hiding him as best as they could and had him homeschooled for a time, though they couldn't keep up with it for long due to finances. As he got older, all three of them knew one thing: he needed to see the world for himself.

In his early teens, Roy wanted to learn kickboxing and, potentially, become a famous fighter one day. After much civil and not-so-civil arguing with his parents, they braved a trip to a local MMA gym. It was here they met Ariana Caraballo who was a female, Andalusian horse. Upon seeing them and speaking with them about the gym and what she teaches, she explained her personal philosophy: "I don't care who you are or what you look like. You want to learn how to fight? I will teach you, so long as that desire to learn is there."

As the years went by where he trained under her, they got to know one another better and, by extension, she got to know his parents better as well. Ariana's motherly instincts kicked in once she came to find out Roy's parents couldn't afford homeschooling him, let alone care for him. Seeing him improve and learn over the years of training, and being proud of his unquestionable willingness to compete, Ariana did something she's never done in her career as a professional kickboxer and trainer with any of her younger students: become a legal guardian. Despite this, Roy strives to be there for his parents as much as he could, even when he was underage and couldn't do much legally.

But once he was of age, everything around him fell apart. His parents were forced to move to an apartment after foreclosing on their house when his mother lost her job at an accounting firm. After scrambling to help them out with the move, he trained as hard and as quick as he could for, what would be, his last competition under Ariana. He came to find the day after that she was diagnosed with EHV (Equine Herpesvirus). Between his fights at the competition, he noticed her runny nose and inability to stand up straight for long, plus needing to rush to the bathroom more often than what would be deemed normal; it was as if she just got out of one hell of a fight, yet showed no signs of bruising or injury. She was soon put under quarantine under house arrest, and he could only see her if he either remained with her during the quarantine or be willing to put on a specialized hazmat suit whenever he wanted to enter the home.

Now, Roy is in search of a new home, a place to establish roots and help those he loves. With what little money he had left after the crash, he saved it for necessities. However, he struggled to accept the hard truth that he may not be able to kickbox ever again; the only way he could do that was if he found a new home and a job, and he has neither.

It would take a miracle for him to get his life back on track; that was the only truth he knew damn well.
