A sensitive-but-friendly panuki with high-functioning autism who lives in a cozy, nicely-decorated tree-home in a forest in Central Animalia. She works on a semi-nocturnal schedule, usually waking up in the late after-noon and going to sleep in the early morning. A skilled artist, crafts-woman and story-writer, Mairead usually spends her nights huddled up in her tree-home working on some kind of project and/or selling/displaying things that she made, although she does come out into her yard every now and then, as she has a huge love of nature. She is also an amateur witch, and uses her magic to enhance her art and crafts, solve minor issues and inconveniences and, on occasion, heal minor ailments. Her other hobbies include watching TV, playing games, listening to music, swimming, travelling and treasure-hunting/collecting. She's normally very reserved and introverted, but with a little warming up can be very lively, charismatic and fun. She's very wise and knows a lot about magical things, and is said to be able to predict the future. She is very sensitive and it's not too hard to make her cry, but she does try to hide it whenever she can. One of her specialties is charms--some of them innocent trinkets, others carrying magical properties. She owns a few of the latter type and carries them in a special pouch on her belt, and wears whatever ones she needs at the moment (up to 3) on her choker. Her magic is not the most potent, however, so what abilities they have are not enough to make her extremely powerful, but do allow her to gather information for her stories. The one she wears most often is a stylized green leaf that allows her to shape-shift into anything she can imagine, except without all the abilities that said thing holds.
