Alyssa was a young bandit seedrian on Khufu who made a living by stealing from others. Once, on a dare, some friends of hers wanted to steal something from the main palace. Alyssa went in and found a bottle to steal. When she touched it, she was sucked in and a minute later, she came out of the bottle but with a difference. Her skin had turned a grey color and she found herself wearing a red and cyan bellydancer outfit. Alyssa found that the outfit was cursed so that she could never take it off. When she heard voices coming, she had to get out of there somehow. She then felt herself shrink and her arms and legs fuse to her body, turning her into a snake. Quickly, she slithered outside of the palace and out of town into the desert. When she got to the desert, she willed herself backed to her normal form. So Alyssa had a dilemma: she had magic now, but she was stuck with a bellydancer outfit she could never take off. A day later, Alyssa met a seegenie known as Sian, who had been freed by the AFG Yaemi. Alyssa explained her problem, but Sian said that there was nothing she could do to take the magic away. Alyssa stayed with Sian and became friends with her.

Some time afterwards she tried to steal some valuables from Huoxon in the Othrys System, but was captured by Othrys's robots. She was imprisoned on the SunBuster when Xi freed her. She aided Surge and his friends against Othrys, and after the Othrys War, she decided to stay on Planet Surge a while and practice her powers a little more.

After her experience with the bottle, she has a few magic based abilities.

Her bellydancer outfit is cursed so that she can never remove it. She has to wear it for the rest of her life.

Powers:

Sword summoning: Alyssa is able to summon magical blades to use in fights.

Hammerspace: Alyssa keeps her swords and a variety of valuables she stole in a portable picket dimension.

Snake Form: Alyssa is able to turn into a snake with a pattern matching her outfit.

Mist Form: Alyssa can turn into transparent blue mist to fly and avoid detection.
