Moon's furry form is a mouse. (If you were curious, Owen's a bull, Roland's a werewolf and I still can't decide whether Littledog has a gijinka). Mice are an animal I have a long history with- pets, house "guests" (one fateful night I woke up and lifted my covers to find an exploring mousie cuddled next to me in bed, perhaps thinking I wouldn't see him if he snuggled in tight), and as something of a metaphor and inspiration. Meek and largely unwanted, but the ones who do know and appreciate her understand the widely believed myths are just that, and the truth of her is so much more and bigger than anything they could have guessed.

Moon-mouse is definitely a brindle. Sprinkles, my beloved brindle gal, was an affectionate pet who squeaked for me when she was dying and passed in my lap. She was also round as a barrel- brindles are genetically predisposed to getting fat, and Moon's a big lady, so I thought it fitting. Of course, coloring is one of my weakest points so I chose the among most challenging pattern I possibly could of all the myriad ways mice can be colored... OH WELL.

Even though her legs kind of look a bit long in retrospect, I'm pleased with how this came out! That's one saucy mousie lady! And she's wearing a matching bra and panties so you know she's ready to take the world by storm. XD That's a sign of a day when you're really WITH IT, yo!

I may or may not update this more fully but who knows. Moon, whatever way I'm drawing her, is my self insert character and because I use drawings to explore different things it's hard to describe them- do I describe myself? Different roles the drawings play? Do I just make taco jokes? I don't even know.
