ORIGIN:
Lightning Jack went from being a lowly kid from the inner city to becoming one of Furtropolis’s leading crime lords. He earned his name when a freak accident during his adolescence gave him control over lightning and electricity.

PERSONALITY:
Lightning Jack is to The Gargoyle as The Joker is to Batman. He is a very constant and serious villain that takes Gargoyle to his physical and emotional limits. Lightning likes to get inside of Gargoyle’s head, preferring to play around with his adversary most of the time than simply destroy him. Overall, he seems to treasure psychological victories far more than physical ones. He is also powered by political corruption, which runs rampant in the city at times. Very charismatic, Lightning is very easily able to convince and persuade. And when he has corruption on his side, he controls almost everyone in the city and could get them to do any kind of favor for him.

INSPIRATION:
Lightning Jack draws some inspiration from DC’s Joker, as well as some assorted characters from the “Gotham” TV series. The decision to make him an eel came naturally after deciding on his powers. His physical appearance and clothing choices were inspired by Dimitri from the “Sly Cooper” video game franchise.
