Physical Description:

Kate's most distinctive physical feature is the diamonds on her arms, legs, and back/tail. She is a slender snake with long hair to her mid back. She often dresses in revealing tight outfits.

Biographical Data:

The daughter of Senator Quentin Coyle and Nicolette Coyle, her parents met when her mother sought to con the senator in a long plan that involved giving him a daughter while she embezzled money from his personal accounts. Senator Coyle genuinely fell in love with his wife only to be betrayed by her when she took not only a sizeable chunk of his fortune but his beloved baby girl.

As a young girl Kate was taught every con in the book by her mother. When she was old enough she taught her how to gamble, seduce, and do anything to part a man from their money. Kate soon learned she did not like using her skills to harm others and when she voiced those concerns her mother attempted to kill her with her venom. Kate escaped and left her mother to run her own cons until she found a bartending job somewhere in the northeast United States.

There she met Lucy, a young wolfess who had been left by her boyfriend with nothing, and found with her what she had never had as a young woman. Family. Kate took Lucy in with her and taught her how to be self sufficient while at the same time Lucy taught her what it meant to trust in other people.

Personal Statement:

"My name is Kate Coyle. Most of you probably grew up with a loving family and three squares a day. I grew up learning how to convince people to trust me so I could take advantage of them. I didn't know any better, mom told me it was how all people were. I always felt there was something she was keeping from me when Dad always seemed to be the kind of man that lived his life to help other people. As a young kid mom would take me places and tell people lies to get money, and somehow they would believe her. I always felt weird when she'd say I was starving or she'd use me to distract others.

When I was about eleven my mother took me away from my father. I never saw him since then. I didn't know why she wouldn't let me see my father but she told me snakes don't have families like other species. I asked why I couldn't talk to him and she slapped me hard enough to drop me onto my ass. I didn't ask again.

I tried to contact him from time to time but never clicked the button to send the email, afraid of what he'd think of me. He was a man of honor and always seemed to be helping others. What would he want with a thing like me? I wanted to see him so badly but I couldn't for fear of his judgment or my mother finding out. I kept quiet and cried myself to sleep more times than I can remember. I never let my mother see.

When I told her I was done using my body to get money from others she tried to bite me. I got away with only a little bit of her venom in my bloodstream. It was enough. After I got away I stayed at a shelter for a few days while I recovered and then set out on my own. I had no money, so I had to con for a while to get by. I didn't want to, I tried never to take more than I had to, but once I found my way to a big city I walked into a bar and asked about the sign outside. He watched me make a drink though I think he just enjoyed when I spilled some on my shirt. He hired me and said he'd never had a hot bartender before.

A few years later, some wolf girl walked into the bar. She was wearing a business suit, the kind you never see in places like this. I walked up to her and offered her a drink, and we got to talking. Turned out her piece of shit boyfriend kicked her out for not being whatever it is he wanted her to be. I offered her a room at my place, and she moved in the next day. Imagine her surprise when she found out I walk around naked at night!

She took it pretty well once I closed her mouth. She swears she's straight, but I think I just might get her to play for the other team, if you know what I mean. She's cute, too. I think I'm going to like this."
