Biographical Data:

Lyndon Brennan is the foremost Ashurian expert on their neighbors the Talwyn. He has studied them and their culture for years. His area of research was often ignored by his fellow scientists and deemed unimportant, much to his frustration.

He worked out of a small building in the Ashurian capital publishing papers in any outlet that would accept his work though few seemed to draw attention.

Everything changed the day Arandis Scott came to visit him and made him an offer. Since then he has served as Chief Researcher directly under her.

Personal Statement:

"My name is Lyndon Brennan. While I am technically an Ashurian I've always thought of myself first and foremost as a scientist. My duty is to knowledge and the expansion of our understanding of the universe. This does not mean I have no loyalty to my homeland, but simply that understanding is more important than any political agenda. While most of my fellows preferred to ignore the Talwyn I found them fascinating beyond measure. Ashurians and the Talwyn nation generally did not interact but I still found ways to meet with members of their country and speak to their citizens. I learned what I could and published papers to little acclaim.

It was when I had almost given up on ever accomplishing anything with the uninterested academic community when I was approached by Arandis Scott of Vantage International. She had told me she'd followed my work and found my ideas rather fascinating. She offered me my own lab and a budget larger than I'd ever seen. Of course I said yes. It came with strings, as such things always do. I had to work for her and research avenues the government deemed relevant, seeing as the energy crisis had suddenly made knowledge of the Talwyn a valuable commodity. Most of those happened to be the usual things, like weapons and such.

Any time not consumed by that work was mine to do with as I wished. I spent as much of it as I could trying to understand them, and the more I learned the less I understood why Senator Lynch despised them so. He had me researching ways to integrate their technology with ours and asked me to design some truly terrible things. I pray they never come to being needed.

Though I find myself uncertain whether my decision to come here was the correct one, I find Arandis and myself have a bit of a repoir. She is a well learned individual who finds the idea of war as distasteful as I do, yet we are subject to the wishes of our government until the political landscape changes..."
