--Changeling informant [designated "M" to preserve anonymity] corroborated with the accounts of the field agents involved in the break in and resulting brief sighting. M previously worked with the subject and hired him out for multiple jobs involving memory scrubbing, evidence cleansing and data corrpution. M is currently the only primary informant for this case that has come forward with any information.

--[CAUTION] Despite "goblin" being in the species name, he is a cryptid and not a "true" goblin, although he behaves and exhibits many traits possessed by the faekin. Therefore he is not weakened by methods normally employed to combat faeries, such as use of ferrous metals and instead consumes it readily.

--Subject "Zee" is a confirmed and veteran Gremlin, using his Crypsis [cryptid analog to faerie Glamour] to complement his Gremlin skills and to make identification and detection troublesome or misleading.

[CAUTION] Confirmed matter, spacial and planar phaser and datavore. Possesses "conundrum cusps," Gremlin-specific implants to aid in creation of gates and direct interaction and interference with man-made electronics and software.

Any recruits that have not been given the green light are not authorized to engage and are instead advised to gather evidence instead. If present in an escalated,hostile encounter with the subject instead plant a locator beacon and withdraw immediately.

General appearance and ability overview

• As is typical of his specific species of cryptid, his body type is strongly goblin-like but with even more exaggeration, with wide shoulders and chest, pronounced elongated arms with sizable claws, and a torso that narrows substantially at the hips with distinctly smaller legs, making his overall silhouette look like an inverted triangle. His skin is smooth and featureless save for around his hands, feet and face. Color is usually a matte grey but sometimes can appear silvery or almost ghost-like, especially when his Crypsis is active or when he's about to go insubstantial.

• When his eyes aren't "deadlights" and glowing, they remain round and yellow but possess white, vertical rectangular pupils.

• Due to his inherent nature, Zee can phase through dimensions, planar hop and alter his physical state, allowing him to travel effortlessly between Faerie and this world and even other worlds such as the astral and beyond. Being a cryptid, he is distantly related to faeries but is not one and even by their standards is an extraterrestrial. His and his race's origins are still unknown and unsubstantiated.

• "Gremlins" in Faerie are not actually a specific species or type of fae but is instead a designation for a niche, highly specialized group of immortals, usually faeries or goblin-kin that have learned to overcome their inherent aversion to man-made materials and electronics and fill a role in faerie society not unlike hackers and programmers in our world. Their services are in demand to fill all sorts of jobs, anything from data erasure and alteration, extortion, image doctoring, infiltration to blackmail (especially in the form of aggressively malfunctioning home appliances). Need to scrub reports and memories of you accidentally being caught by humans? Call a Gremlin. To this end, they're most often found in the employ of changelings, the fae-kin most likely to be inhabiting human society.

• His magical implants the "conundrum cusps" are a staple of experienced Gremlins that have mastered the art of matter phasing. He can already naturally do this to an extent, but the cusps not only allow him to become a creature of pure energy that can travel through electronics and affect them in this state, but also allow him to better physically interact with them as well, allowing him to drain power or data through touch or when inhabiting a machine, or conversely create freak power surges or flux. This is how he causes damage to hardware, creates glitches in software and devours data. The cusps also allow him to "sense" power sources, energy fields, magnetic waves and data impulses from various machines and electronics through touch.

• "Crypsis" is the official designation of the odd supernatural powers that all cryptids possess. This power varies and effects from this power are highly specific to the type of cryptid. It is more or less the cryptid analog to fae Glamour, but unlike faeries cryptids cannot simply use Glamour to do things such as shapechange. Crypsis is more of a "blending in" ability that makes it uncannily hard to detect a cryptid if they don't wish to be seen, and this power also makes it impossible for a cryptid to be faithfully recorded on manufactured devices, images and audio files will be garbled, fuzzy or corrupted. Likewise, written or verbal accounts by witnesses are subtly altered in such a way where their words seem especially ludicrous or unbelievable to listeners or readers. This power is always active and acts somewhat like an aura that affects any mortal that has come in contact with the cryptid or a possession of theirs.

Miscellaneous other character info:

• Setting: Uncanny Hosts
• Is an official "face" character so if it looks like a lot of his traits are a self-insert, that's intentional. His clothing choice, general appearance and other things are taken straight from myself. I'll be using him as a self-portrait persona in the future now whenever applicable when my other characters such as Oort or Topaz don't seem right.
• Him being a cryptid is also significant not only because the Hopkinsville Goblin is my favorite of them, but also like an alien and a cryptid I am in a constant state of alienation from practically every source in one way shape or form. Existing but on the fringes of belief or realism. Also other traits of his that reflect me is that we were not born with inherent tech savvy but instead had to learn it, also he's a direct manifestation of the glitchy love-hate relationship I have with technology as a whole.
• Another oddly specific shared trait: His missing tooth correlates with the extremely obvious gap in my own already huge and crooked teeth.
• His name is also a correlation with mine in that his is the same letter that my name starts with, the numeric values have various personal significance.
