Description: Ameena was born in a Negev Bedouin tribe to an impoverished family, but her mother died from childbirth, leaving only her & her father. Despite not being fully accepted by the tribe, they were allowed to live nearby and were occasionally fed as long as they helped in protecting their livestock. When Ameena was 8 years old, the village was approached by an armed group looking for recruits to train in Gaza, and the 13-year-old son of the Ebrahimi family was grabbed to be taken away. The father attempted to stop them, but he was beaten down and was about to be shot when Ameena’s father attacked, viciously striking the thugs and allowing the boy to escape. Other insurgents witnessed the attack and mortally shot Ameena’s father, but word of a fast-approaching Israeli Defense Force patrol sent them running into the desert. The boy’s father, knowing that Ameena’s father saved his and his son’s life, took Ameena in and raised her like his own daughter. There, she learned Islamic culture, and honed her tracking & traveling skills, and had often watched visitations of the IDF’s Bedouin Reconnaissance Battalion to her village. When she reached 18 years of age, her adopted father told her that in order to bring justice to her slain father and protect her home, she must join the IDF, and he grants her the Ebrahimi family name to take with her. With his blessing, she trains in the IDF and earns a place in the Bedouin Recon Battalion, offering her services to battle the insurgents, supposedly the same that attacked her village and killed her father.
